When I get to work on Friday afternoon, Zara and I spend a lot of time chitchatting about her long-term boyfriend and his horrid ideas for baby names.

"You cannot let him name your child Milton! The poor thing will be teased mercilessly," I tell her, leaning against the podium.

"I know! I just don't know if he can handle being shot down so much. He's a great guy, but a sensitive son of a bitch," Zara says, and I laugh.

"Why don't you counter with some better ideas? Like tell him, 'Oh, but I was thinking Evan would be a great name' or something," I suggest.

"Oh, Evan... I like that." She perks up at the sound of that name.

"Well, you don't even know if it's going to be a boy yet. Just keep an open mind."

She brushes me off, putting away a few menus and folding up some napkins while I man the podium, picking at nails while waiting for it to get busy. Any minute, our dinner time rush will start.

I hear the door open in front of me, and I smile at the couple walking in, reciting my usual greeting. I lead them to a table, repeating this action over and over again for about an hour before noticing a familiar face in the restaurant.

I catch a glimpse of Sin walking towards the back of the restaurant in his signature black leather jacket and fitted jeans. I furrow my brows and stop to watch him. He slows when he sees a particular man wearing a suit colored in an odd shade of blue with a straight mustache, beginning to gray. He shakes Sin's hand and after exchanging a couple words, Sin disappears in the back.

Just as I begin to follow him, I see Zara shooting me a look from across the restaurant. I remember that I'm working and quickly go back to the front.

Sin told me that he was going to work, and that's why he couldn't make it to the party on time. I had a feeling he was lying, but now I know for sure. I try to push the thought from my head and continue to do my job.

Once the restaurant has begun to calm down, my shift is over and I go to bathroom to change. I change into a blue crop top and black skinny jeans with boots to match, leaving my hair in its voluminous messy curls. I get a call from Taylor as soon as I'm done, telling me that she's outside with Skylar.

Any hopes I had of investigating Sin's whereabouts go out the door and into Taylor's Jeep. We get to Jenna's house soon after.

We walk inside to a crowded, hot environment with the smell of sweat and spilled beer, the bass of the music rattling the house slightly.

The entire house is insane. It's three stories tall, so it's no question that Jenna is rich. There's also stark white walls and bright white furniture that I cringe at. There's no way everything will be in the same condition after these hundred teenagers crowd the home tonight.

Despite the overwhelming clean and white atmosphere the house normally has, I can tell there was effort in creating a party space for tonight. There is a huge living room/den area that has been converted into a dance floor, with multicolored LED lights hung on the walls and a DJ booth set up in the front.

Skylar immediately parts from us, shouting something about weed over the music. I roll my eyes, nudging Taylor. I totally called the hippie thing.

"Come on, Haven! What's your drink of choice?" Taylor asks me, a wide grin covering her face as she leads me to the kitchen.

I smile back, fully ready to have some fun. Its been a long week with my mother and I fighting, Ethan getting on my last nerve, and my dad not showing up, so I plan to really relax tonight.
