Hanzos P.O.V.

The next morning, I managed to wake up at a decent time for my first day of school here in America. It was freezing in my room, and I had noticed I left the window open when I was unpacking. I shivered uncontrollably as I stumbled to close it. After it shut, I turned on my heels and immediately got dressed. Angela did say they didn't have uniforms, so I could wear what I pleased. I bit my lip as I glanced at my appearance in the mirror hung on the wall. My black hair came down to just above my elbow, making my facial features somehow appear softer than they were. I sighed as I fixed my kimono around my waist. I shall at least look presentable. I picked up my book bag and filled it with the supplies Angela gave Genji and I. As I exited my room, I saw Genji come out as well, looking extremely sleep deprived. "Did you stay up all night Genji?" I asked, worried. He didn't look functional for school. He groaned as he waved me off. "Non....your.... business" he mumbled as he stomped down the hall. I bit my lip as I quickly followed him. "Genji, maybe you should stay here and rest" I touched his shoulder to stop him from walking. He gripped my hand and pushed me back rather roughly. "Why do you care you fucking queer? I don't need some lady boy worrying about me. I'm not 8 anymore!" He snapped in English. I gulped as I noticed Fareeha behind him. I looked down and sighed. "I just worry about your health Genji" I whispered. He scoffed as he turned around to face Fareeha. She had a terrifying look on her face as she crossed her arms. Her arm muscle looked flexed, as if she was intimidating him, or rather, showing him down. "He gulped and walked around her "excuse me" was all he managed. I rubbed my arm nervously as I glanced at her. "I apologize for the disturbance, it won't happen again" I say quietly as I bowed. I walked past her too as i followed him in the kitchen. I saw Angela in from of the stove, smelling a delisous scent roaming off it. I noticed her attention was on Genji, glaring at him as her mouth moved. "Genji, you may have had things go your way back home, but here, you will respect everyone in the house. Especially your brother. He does nothing but care for you. You have no right to talk down someone in my house." She looked at me and frowned. "Please sit at the table out there Hanzo, I'll give you a plate when I'm done" she spoke calmer than before. I bowed without question, quickly leaving before I was yelled at. I sat at the table quietly, looking at my hands as I heard Angela's voice ramble again as Fareeha sat next to me, touching my shoulder. "Look Hanzo, your brother is important to you, I get that, but letting him talk down to you like that shouldn't be normal for you. He has your father's ignorance. We're gonna help him open his eyes" she spoke with a soft voice I hadn't thought she could have. She rubbed my back and patted it as Angela placed a plate of food down as well as a bag which I assumed was lunch. "Thank you kindly" I say past a shaky voice. Angela smiled weakly as she stroked my hair. "My, your hair is just so soft. I'm quite jealous" she spoke sweetly. I blushed, feeling tingles in my head as she played with it. I began to eat my breakfast, hearing Genji walk around the table and go sit away from me. I heard Fareeha snap her fingers and point to the chair across from me. He grunted as he plopped down infront if me, giving me a quick glare before digging in. I looked back down to my food as I struggled with using a fork. A very curious tool, I never thought they'd need more than one for their meals here.

Time skip

After a long morning at our new home, Angela finally took us to our school. It was a large campus with tall grey buildings detailed with red. I bowed to Angela as Genji and I stepped out the car. "You boys take care ok? I won't have cell phone for you until this Friday for you to contact me. So if you need anything, take this for now." She handed us both a piece of paper with a long didget on it. "Have fun and be safe ok? Gosh, I feel like a mother" she squeaked. I slightly smiled as she drove off. I turned around and noticed Genji already departing. I noticed he only wore his usual t-shirt black jeans and sweater. No manners. Or so I thought until I noticed the others around me, wear somewhat of the same clothing as Genji. A frown slowly mad it's way to my face as I felt eyes glued to me. I look out of place already. I sighed as I made my way to the office as Angela explained to us. They gave me a schedule and a map of the school campus, then explain to me my first period to start my day. The bell for the day to start rang through the camus, which followed by the buzzing of all teens to flood to their class. I noticed couples kissing and hugging and being rather intimate with each other in public eyes. I shuddered at their lack of decency. How could you hold someone dear to you infront of all these strangers. I shook my head as I made my way to where I was shown. I stopped in my tracks. This isn't right. My schedule doesn't say this is the right way. I frown. I will be late and disciplined on my first day. I quickly look at my map, following the paper towards a building far from where I was. The late bell rang and I found myself alone in the middle of the hall of my building. I gulped felling uneasy as I stumbled towards my class. I slowly turned the job, hearing a deep muffled voice from the other side. As I opened the door, my face grew pale as the entire class went silent and turned their heads to me. I turned to the teacher who stood only five feet away. "Hello there. I assume you're the new student?" I nod. My face suddenly flushed with color as I looked at the tall man before me. His hair was just past his ears and his facial hair seemed wild...yet attractive. He wore a dark wood colored button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and black dress pants. He looked well built, not to mention he seemed mature and sophisticated, unlike his hair seemed to be kept. This man before me, struck something in me I've never felt before. I gripped my chest as he placed the chalk in his hand down and wiped the excess off. "Well class, this is Hanzo Shimada from Japan. Please give him a warm welcome." He spoke with a light accent I barely caught. A country accent. I blushed harder, if possible. I heard a sudden snort and traced it back to its roots. A large, tan skinned boy in the back row had his arm swung around a girls neck, which almost looked like a coke hold. "You said him? Looks like a freaking chick to me." He chuckled, which the whole class followed. The teacher frowned as he crossed his arms. "Gabriel, we're not going to have an issue again are we?" His stern voice made me jump. Gabriel just rolled his eyes as he pulled his girlfriend closer. "No sir, Mr.McCree" Gabriel spoke with sarcasm thick in his voice. Mr. McCree only sighed as he turned his attention back towards me. "I apologize for their rudeness Hanzo. Please, have a seat right there" he said kindly as he pointed to a chair in the front corner of the classroom. I nodded quickly and bowed before the class. "Thank you for having me. Treat me well" I spoke formally, hopefully to avoid anymore disruption. As I sat down, the class still stared at me as if I were a weird science experiment. I gulped at the unusual attention as Mr. McCree began the class. It was English class according to my schedule. "Now then, after reading pages 1 through 48 of the crucible, what can we conclude about the girls intentions?" He continued what I assumed they were discussing before I rudely interrupted. My face flushed once again as he glanced at me, smiling with such a kind sparkle in his eyes. Gosh, I feel as though I'm in a fantasy. My eyes snapped wide as I realized what I had been thinking. No! My heart belongs to Hisashi. I won't let this foolish attraction curse me blind. I bit my lip as I took notes of his lecture, remembering to catch up on what the class was working on before I came. The bell didn't ring to long after, which made me jump. The entire class instantly filed out to their next class without a second thought. "Hanzo, can I speak with you?" Mr. McCree said in a subtle voice. I blushed hard, standing up quickly with my belongings. "Y-yes McCree-sensei?" I managed to say loud enough to be audible. His chocolate brown eyes gave me chills as he stared in mine with thought. "You speak rather good English, I'm assuming you've learned it even before you moved?" He spoke with curiosity, looking at me as if I were a new discovery he was tryint to understand. I blushed heavely at the attention before answering. "Yes. My brother and I began to speak it once I was ten and he was 8" I said nervously. He nodded his head, letting the information sink in. "I noticed you only wrote your notes in Japanese however. Do you know how to write in English" he seemed concerned this time, rather than intrigued. I bowed my head and shook it. "No sir. My father didn't find it too necessary to learn to read and write it just yet" I say ashamed. He shook his hands. "No, no. Don't worry. I can hell you with that. I'll tutor you, I mean it's my job after all as a teacher. You can come in in the mornings or at lunch if you'd like? Or I can send things home so your father can help you?" He said with kindness surrounding every word. This man was so polite. So kind and gentle. He must be much older than I. I'm ashamed to be thinking in this way. I looked deep into his eyes and nodded. "I'd like that very much McCree-sensei" I bowed, feeling my face flush a darker red than ever. He chuckled lowly as he touched my shoulder. "No problem Hanzo, anytime"
