"okay, what the heck. we meet again, kkami." i backed away as i saw my neighbor's cat in my house, again.
this has been like a routine where i either wake up with kkami sleeping with me on the floor or him appearing on my kitchen floor, lying comfortably. and today, it's the latter.
i shooed him softly, not getting closer than a meter or two.
"you know, you remind me of demi. she was white and sweet, like you." the cat purred and looked at me with its green orbs.
"oh, you wanna hear a story?" i raised my eyebrow. it seemed to understand what i meant and shot me one of his puppy eyes which i would like to call 'pretty eyes'.
"it was only me, dahyun and demi. demi, dahyun and me. we were best friends and we were happy. that is, until i ruined it." i paused when i heard a knocking on my door.
"wait, coming." i announced as i open the door.
"so kkami was missing, again. and i'm guessing he's in your kitchen." hyunjin sighed as i let him into my house.
sitting on my couch, i thought about the cat and dahyun and our ruined childhood.
