The Alpha King is My Mate?

Isabella was lay in her hospital bed resenting the wires attached to her body more than ever, she felt like she should be out there by her mates side, especially in times that were so important and yet she felt so weak. That wasn't how the Alpha King's mate should be, she shouldn't be sending her mate out on his own because she was so weak that she could barely keep her eyes open.

Rubbing her eyes in tiredness but also in frustration as she let them flutter shut only for them to snap back open as the hairs on the back of Isabella's neck stood up sensing someone else in the room with her.

"Jessica?" Isabella says in confusion pulling herself into a sitting position, why had she just stood there and not said anything?

"I'm sorry Isabella" she whispers her voice hoarse as she lifts her hand up

Fear instantly fills Isabella's body as she looks down at the nurses hand, she relaxed a little when she saw that Jessica only had a phone in her hand but as she ran through different scenarios in her head she felt sick as she thought that someone was informing her that something had happened to Hunter.

Isabella held out her hand to be passed the phone and when she lifted it to her ear there was a silence on the other side, she pulled it away from her ear and looked at the phone to confirm that there was an actual call in progress which there was, putting it back to her ear she now heard heavy breathing and moans in what sounded like pain.

"Hello Isabella" a all too familiar voice sounded, if Isabella hadn't have been sat on the bed she would've collapsed to the floor in that moment

"Finn... what do you want?" Isabella whispers holding her hand to her mouth as her head swims with dizziness

"I lost my leverage with your mates sister.." he starts as a small scream passes my lips

"No you didn't... How could you? SHE WAS YOUR MATE" she say tears filling my eyes

"Oh be quiet you dumb bitch, they got her... they saved her" he explains and the tears in Isabella's eyes turn into tears of relief "So I had to find someone else to take" he says, Isabella can practically hear the smirk on his lips as her stomach turns violently

"Who? Not Hunter?" Isabella says her voice going even smaller, he still had that effect on her, even though Isabella knew Hunter wasn't easy to take down so the chances of it being him were very small and yet the fear in her heart stayed put

"No but I do have his best friend" he says confidently before Isabella hear a large thud and a groan that quickly follows telling her that Finn had just hit him

"Jackson?" she whispers willing herself to keep breathing as she felt like she was ready to pass out

"That's right" he says "Time's running out for 'Jackson'  so you need to come up with a plan pretty quickly"

"Where are you?" Isabella asks her voice quivering, she had completely forgotten that Jessica was in the room with her

"I can't tell you that, she need to tell your mate so he can use the pack link" Finn explains and his plan falls into place, he knew that is Hunter was aware of the trouble his best friend and Beta was in he would go running into danger where Finn would surely have a plan in place to kill him

"Don't hurt him Finn" she whispers tears finally spilling over her eyes "It's me you want, take me for Jackson?"

"Hm... so I finally get to kill you and the pain would be so bad for Hunter that he'd probably die too... 'two birds with one stone' as the saying goes" he says more to himself

"Let Jackson go" Isabella adds pleadingly

"Oh no.. not until you get here - No funny business.. Taylor can bring you" he explains

"Taylor?" she ask confused, she'd never heard of anyone called Taylor not even in the old pack

"Oh sorry... Nurse Jessica" he says with a sickening laugh, Isabella's head spins to look at Jessica.. well Taylor with the look of betrayal, she can't even look Isabella in the eye, clearly ashamed at her own actions

"Oh by the way... How have your meals tasted recently? Ask her about that" he says before sending another punch to Jackson who's groan has less will power behind it "Time's running out Isabella"

"Taylor?" Isabella says in a questioning tone her bottom lip quivering uncontrollably

"I'm sorry... I... He has something over me" she whispers lifting her head to look at me

"What did he mean about my meals?" I asks ripping all the wires out of my skins trying not to wince too much

"I've been poisoning them on his orders for the past couple of months so you would get weaker and it would keep Hunter distracted" she explains while Isabella's jaw drops as she sits there stunned for a couple of seconds

"I trusted you" Isabella says her voice breaking as tears fall out of Jessic... Taylor's eyes

"I thought it would be easy but then I spent more time with you and we became friends" she says her voice shaking

"FRIENDS? FRIENDS DON'T DO THIS" Isabella screamed sliding off of the bed to get dressed, her head instantly spun but she pushed it to the side with the best of her ability and started to get dressed

"I didn't want too but he would kill my family if I didn't" she explains, part of Isabella softens but the anger is much to strong as it takes over her whole body thankfully giving her enough adrenaline to move around for now

Without another word, Isabella sneaks out of the hospital ward hoping nobody would see her as they would quickly send her back to bed, she still incredibly dizzy and determination was the only thing keeping her going but she had to do this for Hunter and for Jackson. Isabella went into the kitchen to search in the drawers, it took her a short amount of time to find what she wanted which she hid in the waistband of her pants. Taylor who had been following closely behind hadn't said a word about what she had picked up

"Just take me to where he is" Isabella says with a new found confidence "it is time to end this once and for all"
