From a Duo to a Trio : the first year

The Merriest Christmas!

" Merry Christmas" Ally whispers to her daughter who was just waking up for her 5:00 feed

" it's your first Christmas, and we're gonna open presents, and eat lots of good food and go to aunty Trish's  Christmas party later and get all dressed up and look very cute"  she whispered lowly trying not to wake Austin

It was dark, but she knew Ava was smiling at her

She kissed her daughters cheek..

" why are you up so early" she heard his voice

" you shouldn't be asking me that" ally smiled " sorry.. I didn't mean to wake you"

" it's okay" he said moving in closer he rested his head on her shoulder

" while we're up let's go open presents" Ally said

" it's 5:00, I can barley keep my eyes open, how am I gonna go down stairs" he said

" I'm already wide awake"  she said looking at him

He opened his eyes and looked at Ava " she agrees with me.. look she's knocked out by your liquid gold, put her in that bassinet thingy so we can get at least 3 more hours.. then we can open gifts, and eat breakfast"

" okay" she said she carefully placed Ava back into the bassinet that was on her side of the bed and laid back down

He pulls her  waist closer putting his head in his favorite spot her neck

" merry Christmas honey" she said happily

".. merry Christmas" he said kissing her neck

A few hours later

They were all able to muster out of bed

" okay baby girl it's your very first Christmas what do you think" ally said carrying the baby to the huge Christmas tree

Ava was intrigued by the lights

"Look at all your presents we get to open for you." Austin said

" we went a little overboard." Ally said

" now you say it" he said taking the baby

" okay, some isn't even from us.. they're from grandmas, grandpas.. aunty  Trish, Carrie, Kira, uncle Dez and some friends" Ally said

" did we even get gifts for each other?" He joked

" of course I did!"Ally said

" oh I didn't get you anything.. sorry" he teased as he played with Ava

" very funny.." she said

" I'm serious.. I'm not gonna spoil you anymore I found a new girl to spoil" he said smiling at his daughter

" oh well.. I didn't get you anything either." She said crossing her arms

" you're saying that because I didn't get you anything" he smiled at her

She Glared at him and walked over to Ava's presents

" ahhh there's that look" he said following her

He sat down next to her

" hmmph" she pouted

" I thought you didn't get me anything liar.." he laughed

" I can regift them.. since apparently, we don't do gifts anymore" she said

He rolled his eyes and scoffed " here"

He handed her the baby

And crawled over and got a box

" here.. you brat.. take a joke" he smiled
