From a Duo to a Trio : the first year

Daddy daughter day

Just as Austin promised, he took over responsibility of Ava so Ally could get some rest. He got her up and ready for the day, and even did her hair.

" okay are you ready for the best day ever kid?" He asked

" no" she shook her head

" no? Say yes" he said he nodded his head

She nodded too

" exactly!" He said " so it's uncle Dez and auntie carries wedding day well at 3 so we can have some fun for a little bit"

He took her off the counter and took her hand so they could walk together

" hey Austin!" Piper said excitedly yet tired and hungover at the same time

" hey piper" he said

" hello Ava!" Piper said

Ava hid behind his leg

" she's kinda shy" he said picking her up

" oh she's so cute like a mixture of both you and ally.. speaking of who"

" ahhh she's a light weight." He said " once she gets like a couple of hours, she'll be fine.. so until then it's just Daddy daughter day right?"

He kissed Ava's little nose
" she's a mini you... hey there sweet girl" Piper said touching Ava's hand

Ava pulled it right away

" don't take offense.. stranger danger" Austin said

" that's cool.. hopefully later she can warm up to me" piper said " see you later"

The two headed for the breakfast bar

" okay we have to fuel up before we get out.. we can go swimming in the pool maybe go to the park" he said

He knew that Ava usually a mommy's girl. Of course she loves him too, but she was a mommy's girl, he was hoping maybe after spending the day with her, they'd become closer.

He fed her some cut up fruit then ate some his self " is it good?" He asked

She made a sour face

" sour.. ahaha!!" He said

She laughed too

" ugh you're too cute.. you're such a mini Ally.. you have her smile" he said " 11 months old and you have a expressive attitude don't you"

He handed her another grape and sighed " wish mommy was here too, but it's nice just to be here with you Ava"

"Let's go to the pool!!"

He and Ava got into the pool and she splashed around so happily

He lifts her up and gives her the sweetest kiss

" I love you my little princess!" He said

He tosses her up and down and she giggled

" mommy would have thrown a fit, but she's not here!!" He laughed

She gave him wet kisses

He laughes

" now isn't that the cutest thing I've ever seen" Mimi said

" hey mom.." Austin said

" what are you two up to" she asked

" oh spending some time with my baby girl" he said walking towards Mimi

" hello my angel.. gramma missed you so much tell Dada how much fun you had at our little sleepover" Mimi said taking Ava and giving her kisses " how are you almost a year old?"
