From a Duo to a Trio : the first year

Memory Lane part 2

As expected Ava did not sleep through the night, even though she's gotten better about it. ( somewhat) being in a new environment was scary and new to her

She was extra clingy, and extra whiney

" good morning you lil terror" he said picking her up

She fussed and rubbed her eyes

" yea of course you'll be tired, you didn't want to sleep" he said kissing her head

" hey.. sleepy heads" Ally comes into the room

" hey" he kissed her good morning " minty"

" okay.. go get ready we have a full day of walking down memory lane!" She said " hand her to your parents so she can get comfortable with them so when we leave she's not crying"

" she's gonna cry when you leave .. she cries anytime you leave a room.. she's likes your attention, I like your attention too" he said

" just give her to your mom and get ready.." she said

He walks downstairs

" look who's awake" Mimi said " good morning baby girl"

" Avie you wanna spend sometime with grandma?" He asked handing over Ava to Mimi

Ava looked unsure as Mimi kissed her face " wanna make some pancakes with gramma?"

" alright I'm going upstairs, you two have fun" he said as he began walking away

Ava started crying

" hey I'll be right back" he said

He went upstairs

" Ally I'm convinced she doesn't like my parents." He said

" no.. she doesn't know who they are" she said " she doesn't see them everyday, she's just afraid.. maybe it's not a good idea to leave her behind.."

" I really want her to be used to my parents.. I don't want my mom being sad especially because we came all this way for her to spend time with grandparents" he said

" i get what you mean.. but the mommy in me is saying I don't want my baby being left in an unfamiliar place, with unfamiliar people, with out us.." she said " that anxiety is too much for a 7 month old baby"

" so should we just take her.." he said

" yea.." she said " you're gonna break the news or should I?"

" you.." He said

Ally goes downstairs

But then she saw Ava sitting on the counter perfectly fine as her grandparents entertained her

She quietly rushed back upstairs

" she's fine.. she's making breakfast.. with them" ally said

" really" he asked

" yea.." she said

" good.. that makes me happy" he said

During breakfast

Ava shockingly stayed on Mimis lap

Which shocked her parents

" ally is it okay if we give her some pancakes?" Mike asked

" we gave Austin pancakes at this age.." Mimi said

" I'd say yes, but she doesn't have any teeth.." Ally said

" give her the tiniest piece ever" Austin said " like really mush It up"
