"Hungry?"

I asked Fergal as he walked into the kitchen.

"Yeah."

He mumbled as he sat down at the island where I was working.

"What's wrong?"

I asked.

"Pam, us? We can't be a thing again. I'm with Rachel now. Why can't you understand that?"

Fergal asked me. It definitely stung a bit. I thought maybe, just a little bit, that he loved me.

"So Why did you ask me to come over here?"

"Because I needed help with the kids!"

Fergal yelled at me, causing me to jump a bit.

"So then why the hell do you have our wedding photos in your living room?!"

I yelled at him.

"What's going on in here?"

Rachel asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"Nothing. Pamela was just leaving."

Fergal said as he looked down. I put Ethan into his car seat as I felt tears rush into my eyes.

"Before I go...let me just tell you something."

I said as I narrowed my eyes at Rachel.

"Your ex-husband's lips tastes like strawberries. And your current man's taste like bubble gum."

I said with a smirk as I wiped the corner of my mouth.

"You kissed her?!"

Rachel snapped at Fergal.

"See ya."

I said as I picked up Ethan's car seat and headed out to my car. Once I pulled out of the driveway, I wiped the stray tears from my eyes as I took a deep breath.

"He played me like a damn fool. He made me look so dumb. Why did I ever expect for us to be a thing again?"

I whispered to myself. Now it's definitely time to move on.
