4 Months Later

"Ugh, why do none of the clothes I buy ever fit?"

Gabriella whined as she tried pulling a shirt over her bump.

"Because your baby is growing. It's a good thing, trust me."

I said as I helped her with her shirt. She took a deep breath as she looked in the mirror.

"Mom, I'm scared."

Gabriella said as she rubbed her hand over her bump.

"About what?"

"Being a Mom. I just feel overwhelmed. I feel like I might mess her up."

Gabriella said was she looked at me. A couple weeks ago, she found out that she's having a little girl. She's really excited but I definitely understand her nerves.

"You won't mess her up. You guys will learn together. Just stick to your plan and you'll be okay."

I said as I kissed the top of her head.

"Thanks Mom."

She said as she hugged me.

"No problem."

I said as I stood up and walked out of her room. That's when I heard a knock at the front door. I opened it and smiled at who I saw.

Ever since Fergal and I broke up, Sami and Sasha were determined to set me up with someone. I was a little weary, but once I found out that Fergal moved on to a new girl a month after we broke up, I decided to go ahead and move on.

"Hey cutie."

Carter said as he kissed me.

"Hey."

I said as I let him into the house. I've been very cautious with Carter since I didn't want another Daniel situation. And I honestly felt like he was different.

"How's your morning been?"

Carter asked as we walked into the living room.

"Pretty good. Ethan is asleep, the kids are off to school, Gabriella has had her normal hormonal breakdown, it's been okay."

I said with a laugh.

"Well, I'm free for the rest of the day if you need me."

Carter said as he placed my hand on my knee. I smiled as I leaned up and kissed him. Ah, life is good over here. I just hope it's the same for Fergal and his girlfriend.
