the day was new, the bright light kindly inviting itself through the slightly parted curtains and over your tangled bodies. his body felt warm against yours, with his arms wrapping around your whole entire figure, you wake up to the sight of his peaceful slumbering.

his lashes perfectly curled at their very tips, his hair all bunched up in abnormal angles as his small and subtle breathing fanned over your face. the sight of him in the morning felt even more pleasing to the eyes than that of an actual sunrise. his fair skin that perfectly contrasted with his pink lips was a wonderful sight to witness.

you wondered how you got here, in a place you never thought you'd actually deserve to be in, wrapped in the arms of a person you never thought you'd ever meet.

baekhyun had always been the type of person that was instantly way out of anyone's league, even from just a single glance. his beauty was way out of this world. he was ethereal and like a sculpture—he was art.

with his ever so loving smile with would reach the tip of his ears, you admired the way his eyes would form into droplets, as his perfect white teeth aligned together with his pink lips. the wrinkles right beside his eyes looked painfully adorable and you couldn't help but to always smile whenever he did.

but baekhyun wasn't that type of guy you'd find so difficult to approach, his simple yet intricate features were not at all intimidating, and that was something really special about him.

his eyes weren't the ones to hold deadly, alluring flames just like how one would interpret such beauty. his eyes however held the stars you'd easily fathom into constellations, each constellation holding a meaning of their own, a story no one knew.

but despite the complexity, his eyes shined with kindness and generosity—like flowers that bloom in spring, they were full of life, lives that went through so much dark struggles but still bloomed with so much hope.

he was the type of person anyone could lean onto, even though he had problems of his own. he was a broken wall—one that would continue standing, despite the pain he'd been holding on by himself, struggling to stop the cracks that continued to appear. behind his ebullient facade, he hid a multitude of different crestfallen faces, each representing his inner emotions.

your eyes slowly traveling around his delicate and detailed features, as they landed on another faded purple mark right under his eyes. you could tell it wasn't as impactful as before, but it still left a mark, and you couldn't help but slowly caress his sensitive skin.

through the months of knowing him, you know he'd always put up a tough show for you, saying that he's alright and well even when he's not. he was like a book you'd pick up in the evening, his expressions and words never seem to collide perfectly. you could easily tell when he would mean his words, and when he wouldn't.

this facade of his was slowly breaking you, and you didn't know how to talk to him about it. there were times where you'd ask about it, and he'd always turn it down or instantly change the topic, like as if it never at all entered his eardrums, like as if it was a passing question he could just gladly ignore and let the gush if wind blow it away to the abyss of nothing.

you knew he was only faking his smiles for you to be happy, but the more you think about it, the more it broke you. seeing him so evidently broken inside you'd constantly curse yourself for not being that wall he had always been just for you.

it was when you heard him quietly crying a few days ago as he entered the room you were supposedly sleeping in. it was just in time when insomnia had hit you when you heard him enter the apartment, tossing the key carelessly to the wall, opening the room and quietly drawing closer to your body.
