Just Friends

Chapter: 23

"So what are your interests?" Elizabeth asked. Her and I were sitting in the living room while dad and Grayson were cleaning up dinner.

"I'm really into makeup. I love doing anything outdoors. You name it, I'll do it." I said and she smiled.

"Now I can see why you and Grayson get along so well." She said. "Your dad told me about you and his brother. What was his name again?"

"Ethan."

"Yes, Ethan. He told me all about you three. How such good friends you three are."

I smiled. "Yeah, we've been best friends since we were basically babies. I was their only friend growing up, and hell, I still am. But my other best friend Lexi, is friends with them and is basically dating Ethan now too."

"That's truly amazing." She smiled. "How long have you and Grayson been together?"

"About 3 months." I said. "Even though it's felt a lot longer."

"That's it? I thought you two were together for a couple years." She said.

"Yeah, it feels like a lot longer than 3 months, but that's it."

She smiled at me. "I can see how much Grayson loves you. He looks at you the way your father does."

"Really?" I smiled. "I never paid attention to it."

"Love, he does. I can see it in his eyes how much he loves you. The way he looks at you when you're not looking, it's unbelievable." I smiled widely. I glanced into the kitchen, dad and Grayson were both talking and laughing at something. I loved how well Grayson got along with my family, Ethan too. I'm so glad our families lived by each other as we were growing up.

If I didn't have either of those boys, I don't know what I honestly would be doing. I don't know where I'd ever be if I didn't have them.

"I guess I just never noticed." I smiled as Grayson started walking over to us.

"What are you two doing?" He asked as he sat next to me on the couch.

"Just talking." I smiled at him as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"What we're you girls talking about? I hope you weren't embarrassing me Rayna." Dad chuckled as he sat down next to Elizabeth on the love seat.

"I wasn't, dad." I laughed.

"We were just having girl talk, that's all." Elizabeth sent me a wink, making me smile.

"Yup. That's all it was." I nodded.

"So Grayson, you and Ethan make YouTube videos?" Elizabeth asked as she crossed her legs.

"Yeah, E and I have been making.videos ever since we were kids. We knew we wanted to do it ever since we were little. Now we're big YouTubers and we partly live in California." He explained.

"How do you guys like it out there?" Dad asked.

"We like it, we really do but it's great to be back home though." Grayson rubbed his thumb along my shoulder.

"Oh I bet." Elizabeth nodded. "Rayna, do you plan on doing anything now since you're graduated?"

"I never really thought about it. This last school year was stressful with the people and stuff." I started off and I felt Gray's grip around my shoulders tighten. "So I just wanna take some time off."

"May as well, you have your whole life ahead of you."

"I told Rayna that she should start making YouTube videos for makeup." Grayson spoke up and dad looked over at me.
