"Need help?" I heard Grayson laugh from behind me. I huffed and turned around.

"Yes please." I handed him the balloons I was trying to tie on the picnic tables. "I hate balloons, they kept hitting me in the face as I tried to tie them."

"I saw." He laughed as he tied the couple balloons up. When he was done, he turned to me.

"Thanks for making it look easy." I pouted.

"Baby, it was. You're just a little slow at these things " He chuckled, making me playfully hit his arm.

"You're an ass." I giggled.

"I know, but you love me." He leaned down and kissed me softly.

"Mommy!" Aiden's voice echoed. Gray and I broke our lips apart. I turned my head to the house and Aiden was standing in the frame of the sliding glass door.

"Yeah baby?" Gray twined his hand in mine and we made our way over to him.

"Grandpa here!" He smiled widely. His brown eyes were glistening as the sun was hitting them.

"Okay, let's go say hi!" Aiden grabbed my hand in his and we walked to the front door.

When we got to the door, dad and Elizabeth were talking with mom. Dad and Elizabeth are now engaged and I couldn't be happier for them. Mom is happy for them and it's just been a grand time.

"See mommy!" Aiden pointed. I looked down at him. Aiden had the biggest smile plastered on his face. He absolutely adored dad. He adored everyone in the family, it was adorable.

"Yes I see." I giggled. I looked up to meet dad's eyes. "Hi daddy." I unwind my hands from both of my boys and went to give my father a hug.

Hi sweetie, how are you?" Dad embraced me in his warm arms.

"I'm wonderful dad, how are you?" I asked as we pulled apart. Our eyes connected and his face was lit up with joy.

"I'm doing great sweetie." He kissed my forehead. "I missed you, and I really missed this little guy!" Dad crouched down to Aiden's height. Aiden smiled wide and ran into dad's arms. "You're getting so big! You're going to pass me up soon."

Aiden giggled. "C'mon grandpa!" Aiden grabbed his hand and ran out back.

"He really missed dad." I said, looking over to Elizabeth. "How are you Elizabeth?"

"I'm great! How are you Rayna?" She said, giving me a hug.

"I'm good." I smiled. "I'm glad you and dad are here, we all missed you guys." Elizabeth smiled at me and then pulled Grayson into a hug, exchanging hellos.

"Did you get the balloons tied up sweetie?" Mom asked.

"Gray did." I said, earning him to chuckle.

"Only because the balloons were kicking your ass." He laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Who's birthday is it?!" Ethan's loud voice echoed from the backyard.

"I think everyone might be out there now." Mom laughed.

"Well let's get out there before they start letting Aiden rip his presents open." I said. Mom and Elizabeth laughed as they both followed Gray and I out to the backyard.

When I stepped out into the backyard, everyone was out here. Lexi, Ethan, Cameron, Lisa and Sean. It was so good to have our families all together for this. Today was Aiden's birthday. He loved his birthday. He loved seeing everyone in our family and I'm so glad he gets to have them.

Our families are something special. We all love and support each other and that's something good for Aiden. He has so many people to look up to as he grows up and it's just an amazing feeling to have.

"There you are!" Lexi walked over to me, engulfing me into a hug.

"Yeah, here I am. What's this for?" I asked, pulling apart from my best friend.

"I just mssed you." She shrugged. I rolled my eyes, making her laugh.

"What are we doing first? Presents?" Mom asked.

"Yeah!" Aiden chimed. I giggled. He loved getting presents, hell what kid didn't like opening presents?

I looked up at Gray and he nodded. "We may as well." I stated. "Ready to open presents babe?" I crouched down to Aiden's height.

"Yeah mommy!" He cheered, making me giggle.

"Well alright, let's get to opening." I smiled.

"He had a long day." I said.

"Yeah he did, he had a hell of a time today." Lexi said as we walked back downstairs. It was almost 9pm and I just got done putting Aiden to bed.

"Oh man, he really did. Especially when he opened up the Scooby-Doo stuffed animal you got him. He went nuts!" I laughed as Lexi and I walked down the hallway.

"I didn't think he was going to freak that much!" She laughed. "But I'm glad he loved it." We walked out the sliding glass door to go back outside. Everyone was still outside and my dad now had a fire going.

"I think he had the best birthday ever today." I heard mom say to Lisa.

"Yeah, I think he did. He had so much fun today." Lisa said to my mom. I smiled over at them as I walked over and sat next to Grayson by the fire.

"Hey baby." He breathed, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"Hey." I said, leaning my head onto his shoulder.

"Did he finally fall asleep?" He ripped his thumb along my arm.

"Yeah, he's out like a light now. He had a good day. Hell, I think we all did." I said as I played with the hem of his shirt.

"Yeah we did, didn't we?" He kissed the top of my head. "He got so crazy as he opened all of his presents. I think it overwhelmed him."

"I think it did." I giggled. "But he had fun, that's all that matters."

"Babe?" Grayson asked. I leaned my head up and my eyes met his.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Today was a good day." He said again.

"It was." I smiled.

"But it's only going to get better." He stated and I furrowed my brows.

"What do you-" He placed his finger over my mouth to stop me from talking.

"Rayna, I love you so much." He unwrapped his arm from my shoulders. "We've known each other since we were babies and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He reached in his pocket and got down on one knee.

My hand flew over my mouth, tears swelling in my eyes. "Rayna," he opened the small, black box. "Will you marry me?"

"Oh my god!" I heard my mom yell with joy.

"Grayson, y-yes!" I cried. He slipped the ring over my finger. We both stood up and I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck. "I love you."

"I love you babygirl." He hugged me tightly around my waist. I felt his lips press against my shoulder. I smiled widely against the crook of his neck.

I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.
