"Oh I know that." I say, nodding and finishing off the cake. "What's gonna burst my bubble?"

"Do I need to repeat myself Jane?" She says, a little annoyed and shocked "We only have a boys team."

"And I repeat myself too." I say smirking "I know that."

"So you're on the boys team?" She asks with shock in her voice.

"Hey guys." Tiffany exclaims, grinning from ear to ear. She takes a seat next to Lisa and automatically be. " You should've seen Liam paying for everyone, it was hilarious!"

I start laughing. "How many people." I say through my laughter.

"I dunno." She says joining in my laughter "When I left it was up to about 17 people and the line goes out the cafeteria."

"What are you guys laughing at?" Some guy says coming up to the table.

"Hey Ben..." Lisa says distractedly. I can tell she's still a little shocked from hearing the news that I'm on the boys lacrosse team.

"Who's the new girl?" He asks, looking down at me through his thick glasses.

His hair is an odd color of red, more like orange and he's got a weird combo of green blue and yellow flakes in his eyes. He sort of reminds me of Ron from Harry Potter.

"This is Jane." Tiffany says happily. "Jane this is Ben, Lisa's cousin." Well that explains the hair. I nod a hello to him as he sits down next to me with a big brown paper bag.

"So what were you guy laughing about?" He asks as he takes out a foot long Subway sandwich from his brown bag.

"Liam's paying for all the lunches til' the end of the line cause Jane here asked him too." Tiffany says before breaking into another fit of laughter.

"Really?" He asks, raising his eyebrows and looking at me. "Do you have some sort of superpower that hypnotizes football captains into buying lunch for everyone?"

"Not that I know of." I grin, shaking my head.

"Jane's on the lacrosse team!" Lisa blurts, her face red from what I assume was her holding her breath.

"What?" Tiffany and Ben both ask in shock, matching looks of surprise on their faces.

"What's the big deal?" I ask, a little irritated. They're making way too big a deal about it. I'm on a team with the opposite gender. Big whoop, who cares!

"Oh it's a big deal Jane." Says Ben. "It's what our school's known for."

"And mathletes." Lisa chimes in with a smile.

"Ya but who cares about the math geeks," Ben says lazily, rolling his eyes. "They're just geeks who know math, it's not that hard."

"Uh excuse me but I'm a math geek." Tiffany says all annoyed. "And it is hard work."

"Yeah but its not what the school's known for." He shrugs, acting as if mathletes were little specks of dust compared to lacrosse. Tiffany's face turns red like Lisa's hair and she leans forward.

"I see your face." Tiffany says angrily, "And you see my fist." She holds up a clenched fist. "Now lets find the connection, yeah?" Lisa seems to know exactly what was about to go down because in a flash she's gripping onto the label of Tiffany's blazer and holding her back.

"Anyways." Ben says, turning to face me while Lisa tries to calm down Tiffany. "You have to go through tryouts and the school board and maybe Coach Moore before they would let you join."

"Well I'm already on the team so..." I say standing up, taking my tray with me.

"What?" He asks, standing up. I'm pretty tall for a girl but even with my height Ben still towers over me. "That's impossible, I tried out and I didn't even make it through the first cut! How'd you get on the team?"
