The consistent ringing of my phone finally wakes me up. I can barely see the sun peeking over the horizon and I'm beginning to wonder who the hell is calling me so early in the morning and for what reason. I turn over in the bed, colliding with another body and earning a groan in response. Theres blonde hair splayed over the pillow, blue eyes glaring at me when the girl turns her head in my direction.

She's somewhat pretty, has a slight tan with freckles dotting her nose and cheeks, and she's definitely not my type. I think I remember her from my junior year English class but I don't remember her name. The phone starts ringing again and I realize it isn't even my ringtone, the girl rolls her eyes and reaches under one of the pillows, retrieving the phone and angrily swiping at the screen.

"What?!" She snaps, placing her hand on her forehead to alleviate the headache she most likely has. She sits up, the bedsheets falling and pooling at her waist, leaving her entire torso bare and I figure out why she seemed to be my type last night. She's blessed in the chest department and a memory of me last night fondling her on the dance floor plays in my head.

"I'm sorry baby, I stayed out late and crashed at Kaylee's," she says as she eyes me and gestures zipping her lips. She clearly cheated and doesn't want anybody to find out, if I would have known that she was in a relationship I wouldn't have even tried to get with her. Cheaters don't rank well in my book, so I did the smart thing and didn't keep my mouth shut.

"Thanks for last night," I say loudly while rising from the bed and making sure to ruffle the sheets enough. Her eyes widen in panic and she starts trying to hit me, mouthing for me to shut up. "Nothing babe, the TV is playing in the room."

"Oh shit, is that your boyfriend? Sorry man, but at least she's a good lay!" I know it was a shitty thing to do and that I probably should have spared her because she was a lot of fun last night, but the guy deserves better. Once a cheater, always a cheater. I pull on my pants while the girl starts frantically trying to explain herself, I find my shirt and shoes and I'm out the door in record time. I'll have to remember to thank Scott for throwing the party and letting me crash in one of his rooms.

The drive home is quiet, no one is too out and about at the break of dawn on a Saturday morning especially during the summer. I make it home in less than fifteen minutes and immediately a sense of confusion washes over me when I see that the driveway is empty. My mom never works on Saturdays and my stepfather never goes in to the office until at least ten.

I park my car and exit, fast walking towards the front door and hastily unlocking it. As soon as I walk in, I know that something is wrong. The pictures on the wall in the entry are gone, the table in the foyer is barren and I know because a picture of my mom on her wedding day with my stepdad used to sit on it. I walk further into the house, straight into the living room and my world starts to spin.
