Topanga was in the kitchen making breakfast while Maya and Elliot were eating breakfast.

"Why didn't you wake me?" Riley came in taking a piece of toast from Topanga.

"It's electives day. The earlier we sign up, the better the chance we have of getting all the good ones."  Riley told her.

"I tried to wake you up three times." Topanga sat down.

"You know I don't think you're serious until six times. You know the first three times I'm still checking for chickenpox to see if I can miss school." Riley told her.

"Hey, I tickled your toes," Maya spoke up.

"Well, that explains the Lucas dream." Riley smiled.

"You are not allowed to dream about him." Elliot scolded her.

"So, what electives are we hoping for?" Topanga asked.

"We are hoping to get out of them," Maya told her.

"Actually, it's not gonna happen, my love. These are service electives. Not only do they expect us to be students, but now they want to give us jobs." Elliot explained.

Cory came in.

"How are we supposed to work and go to school at the same time?" Maya asked.

"Yeah, who does that?" Riley scoffed.

"How you doin'?" Cory looked at them weirdly.

"Oh, hey, honey. Where are you going?" Topanga asked Cory as she stood up.

"I'm going to school," Cory told her.

"Oh, whatcha gonna do there?" Topanga asked.

"I'm gonna work," Cory informed.

"Wait, you're gonna go to work and school?" Topanga asked fake shocked.

"At the same time." Cory nodded.

The trio rolled their eyes.

"Wait but, just for a couple of days, right?" Topanga asked.

"No, no, no. This is forever. But Topanga, surely your responsibilities are temporary, right?" Cory asked.

"Oh, no. I have to do everything all the time."  Topanga told him.

The trio started clapping mockingly.

"Bravo!" Riley exclaimed.

"No more. No more." Maya shook her head.

"Have mercy on us."  Elliot mockingly begged.

"Thank you, thank you."  The couple bowed.

"We will be here for the rest of your lives, " with that Cory left.

"Have a good day, honey." Topanga smiled.

"I hate parent theater," Riley told her brother and best friend.

"Ditto to that sister." Elliot nodded.

"Yeah, we did set them up pretty good," Maya told them.

"You know, when I went to law school, I held down two part-time jobs,"  Topanga told them.

"Yeah, but now your life is a piece of cake," Riley told her.

"Would you make us cake?" Maya asked.

"I want pie," Elliot told her.

"Get to school," Topanga ordered.

"You'll be here making cake?" Maya asked as the trio got up.
