Chapter 27:

Selena’s POV:

“So Sel, is Kaylie happy to be turning 6 in two weeks?”

“Happy doesn’t even compare to what she’s feeling Dems.” I laughed.

“And what about the new baby?” Demi asked.

“Kaylie is excited to be having a new baby brother too.”

It’s been over 2 months since Justin and I made our decision to adopt Sasha’s son, and we don’t regret it not one bit.

Sasha was also happy that we decided and agreed.

Sasha would have no contact what-so-ever with her son after he was born. She gave birth to Jaden 3 days ago, and I was there with her (Justin was being a shit head and didn’t wanna come).

Seeing her in labor brought back so many memories. When Sasha called me that night around 11 saying she thought her water broke, I rushed over to her apartment complex and took her to the hospital and to say the least, I think I was more excited about this birth than she was. Sasha was thankful I was there with her when no one else was—well except the nurses.

“So who named the son?” Demi asked.

“Actually Sasha and I both did.” I smiled. “I came up with Jaden, and she came up with Carter as his middle name, because she said that was her brother’s name who had died at war.”

“Aw that’s sweet; who knew Sasha had a sweet bone in her body.”

“Demi if you got to know her—“

“Wait, hold up, hold up,” Demi said cutting me off as she held up her right hand. “Are you trying to tell me you and Sasha have been ‘keeping in touch’, more than y’all should?”

“Well..” I trailed off,

“Well nothing Selena! Sasha is a gold digging whore, have we not made that clear?”

“But I’ve learned a lot about Sasha, and it’s not her fault she came out the way she did!”

“And why not? Oh enlighten me with her life story Sel.” Demi said.

“Well her birth mom was a gold digger herself, always using guys for their money. Kids can’t help what they grow around Demi. It’s like in her blood, she started doing what she grew up around.”

“Wow,” Demi said. “Did she tell you when she started herself?”

“She said her mom made her start when she was 14, but when she was 16 she had enough and finally got enough money to move to the states and move to St. Louis and go to college. She actually told me she never meant to hurt or use Justin, it’s just she actually didn’t even realize it.”

“And do you actually believe that bullshit?”

“Demi it’s not bullshit and yes I do believe it.” I sighed.

It makes me mad that Demi doesn’t understand where I’m coming from about feeling sorry for Sasha.

“Remember how Tori used to be such a slut, but she finally opened her eyes? Just think of that about Sasha.” I said.

“I guess you’re sort of right.” Demi whispered.

“Wait was that, I couldn’t hear you.” I laughed putting my hand up to my ear.

“I said, I guess you’re sort of right.” Demi chuckled.

“I’m always right babe.” I laughed.
