19; narration

the school bell rang the last time for the day, signaling the students that it's already dismissal time. all the students hurriedly exited their classrooms, forming a great chaos in the school corridoors. it's nothing new though, a scene like this can be seen everyday.

and by 'all the students', i mean even the whole nct ran towards the school gate hastily, as if their lives depended in it. who wouldn't be excited to hang out though? specially when you're not the one to pay your expenses, that is.

all 19 of them waited at the bus stop, forming a big crowd of good looking guys that almost every person that passes by them, even boys, took a while in walking just to look at their visuals. i mean, who wouldn't, right?

when the bus arrived, lucas is the first one to enter, with jungwoo behind him, holding his hand from the front. "i'll pay for you." he said as he glanced at jungwoo then smiled,

"for two people." he said at the driver then tapped his bus card two times before jungwoo can even complain. he then dragged jungwoo for them to go inside fully and take a sit.

but lucas' tracks were halted when a hand held his shoulder from the back, then grabbed his bus card at his hand. lucas looked back and saw yuta smirking with an evil aura behind him, "he meant 19 people, sir. thanks." yuta said at the driver before tapping lucas' card 17 more times.

lucas widened his eyes, unable to process what just had happened. i'M BROKE AF. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GO HOME

"thanks lucas hyung!" haechan thanked him with a playful smile before laughing his way to his sit. all of them then made their way to their desired sits, while lucas and jungwoo are still infront.

"let's go?" jungwoo asked the dumbfounded lucas, nearing his head at the taller for he whispered it. lucas then came back to his senses, looking at jungwoo, back again with their 1cm distance difference. his eyes darted straight at jungwoo's eyes, he nodded before walking to the only empty sit at the bus. turns out that the rest already occupied the sits plus the other passengers at the bus.

"jungwoo! lucas said you can sit on his lap!" jaehyun shouted from across the other side of the bus. lucas looked at his friend with his eyes like saying, when the fuck did i say that?  jaehyun just shrugged as a response, that's suppose to mean, i'm only helping you, thank me later :)

lucas glared at him before looking at jungwoo, smiling sheepishly while rubbing his nape. "no, i can stand! thanks by the way." jungwoo said while smiling, then held on the bus railings.

but oh, seems like fate is playing with them, aye? a stray cat just passed by the road, making the driver kick on the breaks without any warning causing jungwoo to loose his balance. but fortunately, lucas is able to catch him, holding him by the waist. it's most likely the slow-mo part of the story with the theme song playing in the background, if you can consider this as a romantic movie.

and that's the cue of another staring contest held by the two, with their 1cm distance difference.

"ooooooh" the others cooed, making the two snap in an instant, standing like nothing had happened.

"y-you can take my seat." lucas offered the paler, gesturing for him to sit on his seat.

"i will sit on your lap instead." jungwoo replied, making lucas' ears and cheeks go red. "i-i mean! i can't just let you stand all trip long. you paid for OUR rides and i don't want you to--"

"shh, okay okay." lucas, with a wide smile hushed him and sitted on his seat, tapping his lap for jungwoo to sit on. jungwoo on the other hand, put his bag on the floor, bitting his lips with a hint of redness across his cheeks. he couldn't understand this kind of feeling, he felt it before but wasn't sure if it was the same. all he can say is that, it feels great
