“Don't worry,” Cal says, “I'll explain.”

***
Tobi, Cal, and I sit in Tobi’s car on the way back to the tower. Cal is in the backseat this time as me and Tobi chat in the front. Tobi pulls his car into his spot in the car park and we all hop out.

I pull Cal into a quick hug goodbye.

“Thanks for not saying anything to the boys earlier,” I say as I pull away. He nods.

“No problem,” and then, “All set Tobi?”

“I think,” Tobi says, “I'll go over to Jade’s flat.” He looks over at me, and I smile back.

“Alright, don't have too much fun,” Cal responds, raising his eyebrows.

I roll my eyes and turn around.

“Bye Cal,” I call as we walk the other way.

“”Don't forget protection!” He responds from across the car park.

I shake my head and Tobi chuckles.

“So…” I say as we walk, sure what to say.

“Are you doing anything later today?” He asks.

“I have work at 5:30 but otherwise I'm free,” I respond, “Do you need to film or anything?”

“No I'm pretty caught up video wise actually,” he says.

At this point we're getting into the lift. I push the button for my floor and lean back against the wall, biting my nails nervously.

When we get to my flat Tobi collapses on my couch, exhausted.

“Do you want to just watch a movie or something?” I ask.

He nods, yawning. I let out a breath of air, chuckling softly at him. Walking down the hallway to my room, I grab my laptop, change into sweatpants, and take the fuzzy blanket of my bed. When I get back to the lounge I drop the blanket by Tobi before opening Netflix on my laptop. I settle down next to him, our pegs outstretched, the blanket covering them.

“What should we watch?” I ask.

“Let's just go with a classic,” he responds, resting his head on my shoulder.

“Lion King?” I ask.

“Lion King,” he says, nodding.

I pull it up and we begin to watch, snuggled together under the blanket.

A few hours later, the movie is coming to an end. I glance over at tobi, noticing he has fallen asleep. I smile at him, noticing how innocent he looks. His face is pressed up against the side of the sofa, mouth slightly agape. His hat lies crooked, almost falling off. I let out a breath of air and put my laptop aside, pulling the blanket up higher.

I close my eyes, breathing deeply, and before I know it I begin to drift off.

I wake up an hour later, still cuddled with Tobi on the sofa. I grab my phone from the table beside me and, noticing the time, decide to get ready to go. I walk over to the kitchen, popping a piece of bread into the toaster.

Walking into my bedroom, I get dressed in a pair of ripped jeans, a grey t-shirt, a jean jacket, and my Nikes.

I put in minimal makeup, then walk back out to the kitchen.

I eat my toast quickly, then head into the bathroom, brushing my teeth. I then grab my bag from my room and pull on my coat, taking one last glance at Tobi before slipping out the door.

I pull off my apron, hanging it up and then waving bye to my coworkers. I take my phone out of my coat pocket as I pull it on, putting on music.

I walk out or the restaurant, walking briskly towards the closest underground stop. When I get to the stairs I rush down, swipe my card, and then head to my platform. As I wait for the train, I scroll through social media. When it arrives, I quickly hop on, collapsing into a seat.

The ride passes quickly and before I know it I'm getting off the train, going up the stairs to the pavement. I walk quickly to my building, unlocking the door then walking over to the lift and pushing the button. The doors open and I walk in, push the button for my floor, then lean back against the wall, closing my eyes.

The elevator bings as it reaches my floor and I pull my weight back onto my feet. The door opens and I walk out. I unlock the door to my flat, my fingers fumbling with the keys. As soon as the doors swings open I drop my stuff and walk into the living room. Seeing a note on the table, I pick it up.

There's something I wanted to ask you earlier but I never go the chance. Call me? -Tobi xx

I takes my tired brain a few seconds to understand what it says, but once I do, I furrow my brows, confused.

As much as I want to know what he wants to ask, I'm far too tired to have a conversation right now. I opt to text him instead.

I call you tomorrow, just got home from work and I'm absolutely knackered

Whatever works for you
Goodnight!

Night

I smile, dropping my phone onto the couch, before heading back to my bedroom to get ready to sleep.
