Can't speak
Can't breathe
Someone, please wait for me
I can't keep up with this too fast pace
Need a break from this race
Inhaler gone missing
Resolve is slipping
Lungs will deflate
But refuse to fill
Now I can only wait to till
My lungs give out or I give up
But I can't give up
Won't give up
I can conquer this and make it to the top
My disability is only temporary in my brain
Life if decided by me alone I don't need a cane
My lungs won't work but I have the same chance
A better chance than you
Because I know what limitations can do
I may not outrun you but I can outsmart you
My lungs may not hold me but resolve will
I am not weak and I am stronger then you
I have passed the finish line while you sit still
Lungs finally fill
I made it to the end
Others have fallen including some friends
But I won't bend to the rules of this race
I will fight!
Because just like you I have the right
To win to breathe
To make my life what I please
A/N: I actually do have asthma and after a tiny asthma attack I decided to write this ^^
