People are hyprocrites in every right
We frown at addiction and curl our lips at the fact someone is obsessed with such a thing
However, we are the same
We walk down the streets with tunnel vision looking at the beautiful places others are visiting through filters
While we ignore the beauty around us too focused in another
Our society preaches self love and being true to ourselves
Meanwhile, we pay thousand of dollars for a new face
We starve ourselves to be thinner and post pictures online showinh our weightloss
We stare at others who are prettier than us not listening to the fact that our family and friends call us beautiful
Online can't be a lie we say
See them? They're perfect, thin and clear skinned
Those are filters and photo shop and makeup to cover insecurity
All of is are addicts to the technology we hold
Wires wrap around blocking us off from the rest of the world
People who love us are pushed aside to make place for friends they barely even know
Because long friend lists are proof we are happy, proof that we are not nothing
But we are everything
Wires strangle us and keep up from breathing and growing but if we just let go and open our eyes
We are perfect, no matter our shape
Amount of friends don't define us but our connections with the ones we have
Our life may be simple but the words we say give us greater meaning
We need to let go if only for a day
Wires don't connect us they keep us from our lives, our people, ourselves
So put down your screen and cut the wire
Look up
Life is beautiful and will continue to be
