Dear XXXXXX,
I'm currently on a plane to Iowa, where the nationals competition will be. By this time, you would have been out of school now. I wonder what you're doing. I wonder if you're thinking of us, of my team. It would have been really fun if you were here. If only you had joined my team instead of the other one. This week was the week after spring break, and I only went to school for the first two days of this week. I got a haircut over the break and started wearing contacts; a bunch of my friends didn't recognize me at first. You haven't seen me yet; I wonder if you would be able to recognize me. I, on the other hand, have seen you, walking by. Something felt different about you. Maybe it was because I saw you laughing while you were walking away. You genuinely look happier than when I first saw you, walking with your head down all the time. I also noticed that you got a haircut as well. You looked really cute, and seeing you pass without talking to me just constantly reminds me of how much I miss you. I just hope that I get to see you next week when we come back.
