Lost in the Adirondacks; Freeverse

The mountains rise,
The mountains fall.
The bird sings,
The air rings,
With a happiness
And a certain surrealnes.

The air is crisp,
The air is cool.
THe sun shines
Atop the mountains, of stone and pine trees.

The mountains surround,
A beautiful lower ground,
Consisting of winding rivers
And clear streams.

The forest is lush
With trails of slush.
The sky is blue,
And the sun shines through,
The treetops of autumn orange,
With yellow and red too,
Down to the ground
Where animals scamper all around.

The air is quiet,
Without any sound to disrupt it.
The flies buzz round
Looking for their next meal.
The trees sway,
In a gentle way
As the wind makes the grass, sashay.

The waves ripple gently,
Against the shore,
Of rock mud and grass,
With a slow and gentle, swoosh.

Animals scamper,
With nothing to damper,
The serenity of the wild
In the Great Adirondacks.

Well, I noticed that not to many poems on wattpad are about the great Adirondack Mountains and national park, aka my home, so I figured I would create my own. I hope you like it. Please hit that little star to show your support and leave a comment with any and all feedback. Thank you so much! :-)
