Dew (poem)

59 22 9

The dew dampens,
The grass upon,
Which it lays.

Casting golden shadows,
Upon flowers,
And grasses alike.

The sunlight glistens,
Off the blades the glow,
And twinkle like millions of stars,
That we gaze upon, from afar.

As the sun rises,
The dew melts, and dries,
But I won't shed any tears,
Because tomorrow, again it lies.
