Summer day in the Adirondacks (poem)

77 25 16

Nestled within the trees,
Amongst all the bees,
And through all the tall grass,
Lies a lake that looks like glass.

It sparkles in the sun,
When the day begins, and when it's done.

Many a duck lays,
Inside the misty haze,
Of the atmosphere that surrounds,
And the peacefulness all around.

The mountains sit in the distance,
With quite a story to their existence,
With summer sheets of green,
That is a wonder to be seen.

The farmers fields spreads out,
And the animals graze, without a doubt,
In the warm sun,
Until the day is done.

The crickets sing,
The song that will bring,
A warm summers night,
Filled with lots of starlight.

The chorus sings its lullaby,
Until the sun rises high.

I always want to roam,
These adirondacks that I call home.

So, I know it is another poem about the Adirondacks, but they are home to me and something that always gives me happiness. But I was wondering, should I create a separate book just for my Adirondack poems and just keep posting them here? I would love to hear your thoughts on both the poem and my question. Thanks for all the support so far, and please don't forget to vote and comment. Thanks. :-)
