Chance

Naipaliwanag na sakin ni Daddy na ayos lang kung maghiwalay na kami ni Aiden. Nakakabawi nadin ang kumpanya pero syempre tatanawin parin niyang utang na loob sa mga Suarez ang kumpanya namin. Kung hindi din dahil sakanila, baka wala na kami ngayon sa business industry.

Umupo ako sa bench, buti nalang nakasilong ito sa puno. Ganon nadin ang ginawa ni Aiden.

"How are you?" Deretso lang ang tingin ko. Hindi ako tumingin sakanya.

"Ayos lang." Tama lang sa tanong niya ang sagot ko.

"Ang baby?" He ask.

"Ayos lang din." Kung ano lang naman ang tanong niya ganon lang din ang isasagot ko.

"I'm sorry." Panimula niya.

"It's okay. I understand. You love her." I said.

"Back then, yes." Tumango ako sa sinabi niya. "I just don't leave her because he need me." Frustrated na sagot niya.

"What if I need you too? Oh. Sorry, you don't love me at all. Let me rephrase the question, what if your child need you too? You chose her over your child." Diretsong wika ko.

"I'm sorry. I know, my decision is bad." Tumango ako.

"Iyon lang ba?" I ask. Umiling naman kaagad siya.

"Let me finish okay?" Pakiusap niya. "Yes she is my first love. She is just my first love. You are my last and forever love. Bumalik siya, she was depressed. Pinilit siyang ipakasal sa taong ayaw niya. Nanakit sakanya. Nakiusap siya sakin na balikan ko daw siya. But I rejected her, why should I come back to her if you are my priority?" He ask. I shrug my shoulder.

"Still you come back to her." May halong pait naman ang boses ko.

"It is because she mention suicide. Nakiusap siya sakin, samahan ko lang daw siya. So I did. I thought one day is enought but it's not. Hindi kita makausap non because I was guilty." Nakita ko naman ang pagsisi sa mga mata niya pero kaagad din akong umiwas.

"You should be." Tanging sagot ko nalang.

"Angel, bab-" I cut his word.

"Don't call me the way you call her!" Giit ko sakanya.

"Wife. I'm so sorry. Nakiusap nadin sakin ang pinsan niya na samahan ko lang daw siya. Ilang beses na niyang pinagtangkaan ang buhay niya." Pagpapaliwanag ulit niya

"Clichè." Wika ko naman.

"She's on a mental hospital now." Napatingin naman ako sa sinabi niya. "The day you left me, I left her. I chose you, kahit na may tampo pa ako sayo that time." Dagdag niya. "I need to be heartless for her so that I will not hurt you again."

"Is she okay?" I ask. Even though she didn't respect me as Aiden's wife, I still care she's a human after all.

"I don't know. I cut my connection with her." Sagot niya. "Your twin said you need time. So I choose to stay away, to watch you from afar." Napatingin ako sakanya. "But when your dad gave me those papers I think this is the right time to talk about us." Wika naman niya. Hinawakan naman niya ang kamay ko.

"Please, give me another chance." Nagsusumamong wika niya.

Hindi ako kailanman nagtanim ng galit kay Aiden. In fact, even though I didn't see him everyday thinking the way he treated me sweetly i'm falling for him badly.

"There will always be two outcomes if I will give you another chance." Seryosong wika ko. "Chance to wreck me again or chance to fulfil me again."
