Regulus Black

She thought to herself.

Regulus Black
The Slytherin
The pureblood
The bully

The girl thought again adding some titles that came into her head along with that name. The titles she had put alongside Regulus' name ever since she had began Hogwarts. That was how her friends saw him too. That was how most of the people saw him. And over the summer he had been one of the many if not the most popular thematic her brain liked to think about.

It was not that she didn't believe a person had other sides that they didn't let other people see. It just surprised her. How someone could be so different from their public image.

Of course they lived in a world of titles, a world full of prejudice. However her mind couldn't wrap around the thought that someone could be two people.

Enough, she thought and tried to clear her working brain while she concentrating on the sun rays on her face warming her skin and giving her the calming effect she needed.

Underneath her fingers she felt small pieces of dirt and grass. Some pieces getting stuck between her fingernails. Grass was touching her feet lightly as the wind made it swade in its' rhythm.

It was one of the best feelings in the world as she listened to the ruffling of the leaves.

But no matter how calming or wonderful it felt to lay on the ground  the girl still lost control of her thoughts and thought back to the Room of Requirement. The same yells, the same voice she had heard so many times.

How could it be that the boy she had befriended through the year was the one and only Regulus Black. The obnoxious bully Slytherin.

"Had enough sunbathing yet little bumblebee?" Ray's voice rang out from the girl's left bringing her back to reality, where she was still lying in the garden of the Nutcombe mansion.

Constnace put one of her hands over her eyes to glance at the older man standing just a few steps away. She shrugged not knowing how to answer.

"Be careful I heard the sun can fry your brain if you lay under it for too much time," Ray joked and began tending to some of the flowers around the garden.

"I doubt I need the sun to do that. My brain is totally capable doing that itself," the fair haired girl groaned as she slowly sat up trying to adjust her eyes back to normal for everything was a bit blue at the moment.

The elder man could only chuckle and continue looking at a small Winggentree.

Constance observed the man for sometime conteplating whether to entrust the man with her worries or not. When she finally decide she stood up only to sit back down a second later next to the gardner.

"Just out of curiosity. Is it possible for a person to act like a bully and prejudice person in public while he actually isn't that bad in private?" Constance began hopping she wasn't too obvious.

"Well, we often show a different aspect of us to the world than we show to our friends. Do we not?" Ray replied observing the leaves of the small tree.

"Of course. But is it possible that someone has two very different sides? I mean how can you act one way than say the other?  How can you be friends with someone in private yet curse them in public?" It was all just pouring out of the girl now until she finally managed to regain control of herself again.

Raymond leaned back that time and looked at the thoughtful girl,"I think this has more to do with the fact that you cannot understand why YOU would befriend someone like that not that the person is like that. As for the person... We usually hide our realselves from the public eye if we are scared of how others will react. But everyone hides that differently."

As always Ray saw right through her.

"Lunch is ready!" Mrs. Remy yelled out of the kitchen.

"We should go before she comes here with one of the knives," Ray joked making the young girl chuckle.

The man stood up and dusted off his pants and was about to leave when Constance stopped him."Thanks for the advice,"she said making both of them share a caring smile.

"Am I the only one who has ears in this house?!?" Mrs. Remy yelled in irritation.

Meanwhile in another house at the same time a boy sat in his dark room with only a few rays pouring through the window above his desk. In his hands he held a pencil and a paper on a hard covered notebook.

His hands were moving swiftly and skillfully with thr pencil not caring if smudges appeared on his hands or not. That was until the movement suddenly stopped.

As Regulus observed the drawing he had finished just seconds ago he couldn't help but remember the girl

As Regulus observed the drawing he had finished just seconds ago he couldn't help but remember the girl. He thought of the comment she had made of how it could be seen that drawings meant something to him.

However as soon as his head welcomed the thought of the girl from the room it also rejected it. The feeling of anger and betrayal rising inside of him.

Eventhough he didn't want to admit it he kind of cared for the girl and by breaking her word that last day he couldn't help but feel betrayed. She had agreed, he thought sadly to himself and whatever reason she had for not showing up it still hurt the boy.

Over the last year he had opened up to the girl. He had shown her a side of him nobody had seen for quite a long time if ever. So as much as he wanted to see her and tell her about his "dull" summer he made a decision. And he was determined to follow it.

He was going to stop visiting the room for a while. No matter how tempting and inviting the idea was. He was going to have to forget about the girl.
From that moment on she was only going to be a person he had met by accident. A ghost from the past.

"Regulus Black! Come down here or we'll miss your cousin's wedding," Walburga's voice rang from downstairs.

The boy couldn't remember how many weddings he had attended anymore. All of them were filled with the sacred twenty-eight families and people his family thought would be wise to have on their side.

"Coming mother," Regulus yelled back before throwing his things under the bed and shoving the drawing in his bag.

He quickly glanced into the small mirror in his bedroom and fixed his tie one last time before leaving his bedroom.

He ran down the stairs as quickly and gracefully as possible only to be met with two pairs of eyes observing him.

"Sorry, I got caught up," Regulus clumsily apologised his mind still spinning around the girl.

Realising how 'badly' he had just worded his last sentence he shook his head in order to clear it before putting on a smile on for his parents. After all he had everything he had ever wanted.

He had his parents' pride and support. A great position in a cause he always believed in and that guaranteed bright future. What were a few people forgotten on the way?

Little did Regulus know how his future was going to change even more this year.
