-The Next Day-

Sam's P.O.V

I was a another party with my friends, as usual, they all got drunk, again, and I needed to escape.

-Sam's Texts-

Bea: Hey, at a party?
Sam: Yeah, I need to leave though.
Bea: Where? I can come give you an excuse.
Sam: 6 Sevenths St
Bea: On my way.

Waiting for your escape is when time moves the slowest. What feels like forever later I hear Bea calling my name.
"SAM, SAM!" I hear her shouting
"OVER HERE!" I yell, reaching my hand above the crowd, God I never realized how short I am
"Hi," She says "If you have to escape from parties why do you go to them in the first place?"
"WHAT!" I shout over the loud music "I CAN'T HEAR YOU, MUSIC!"
"SORRY, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" She yells
"SAM, WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?" Zach asks
"ZACH, THIS IS MY FRIEND BEA, BEA, THIS IS ZACH!" I introduce them
"SAM, THERE'S NOBODY THERE." Zach yells
"Let's get out of here." Bea whispers in my ear and pulls me out of the party.
"I don't get it," I start, "Why couldn't he see you?" I ask confused
"Because I'm short." She says jokingly "If you constantly need to escape from parties, why do you go to them in the first place?"
"I just run with my crowd." I explain
"Crowd?" She asks, confused
"Yeah, everyone has a crowd, it's a group of people you hang out with... Plus traveling is safer with more people, less of a chance of getting kidnapped or mugged." I explain
"Oh, well, you should get a new crowd." Bea Starts
"Can't, don't know many people. Do you have a crowd?" I ask her
"Naw, I don't really know people either, plus I work alone."
"You should join mine, the boys will be fine with it." I offer
"Or, we could start our own crowd and not go to parties daily." She says
"But there's a party I actually want to got to tomorrow, and you can't get in unless you're in a certain crowd." I explain
"Fine, we can go to this party, and then leave the crowd." The compromises
"Deal." I say, "Oh crap, I have to go. See you tomorrow or something."
"Bye!" She calls after me.
