"Okay. And?" My momma said
"But momma everyone going to this kick back. Daddy would let me go." I replied
"Then maybe you should go ask ya father" she smirked
She wrong for that. She knows that if she say no then he gone say no. He always be like "yes. What ya momma say?" And if I say "she said yes" he'll ask her and she'll be like "no".
"Momma pleasee! Im responsible enough" i frowned
"Lets make a deal" she said
"You're evil. Keep speaking" i said taking a seat on the couch next to her
She leaned over
"You bring me back something and then do the dishes and clean the guest bathroom"
I sucked my teeth
"Momma aint nobody been using that bathroom." I mugged "we dont be having no guest"
"You right. See, yo daddy be using it down here when Im in ours. Therefore, when u get home, hop to it" she smiled getting up
She patted me on the back as I sighed. I got up. Well, atleast I can go to the kickback now.
Y'all probably like "aint it like.. a school night or sum?" No. It was Friday night. Party starts at 6 and it is now 5:30. I rushed to get ready. By the time I was done, Shawn called me on FaceTime.
"Kaaaayyyyyyyyyyy Baaaaaaaaeeeeeeee" he yelled
"Yessssssssssssssssssssssss" I answered
"im outside" he said
"Okay"
I hung up the phone and grabbed my things and went downstairs.
"Bye momma bye daddy" I said leaving out the door.
Before I got the chance to close it, my father snatched it open.
"Where you going?" He asked
"To a kick back with Shawn, Naomi, Lehlani, Jacory, and June.." I smiled
