A Game With Capturing and Flags

The next days at camp felt(almost) normal. First we went to Ancient Greek with Annabeth. We talked about the gods and goddesses. Then the rest was outdoor activities. Percy and I were always separated because I seemed to be more advanced and some even said powerful. That didn't make sense. But they said I had powers. And it's like... what? But sure enough Demeter kids took me aside. One of them, Katie Gardener, said to imagine aura flowing to my hands. Then instantly green sparkling aura glowed and covered my hands. Then she told me to imagine it flowing to the strawberries and nourishing the plants. The aura obeyed and washed over the plants. The plants stood up taller, the color more vibrant and it smelled of ripe strawberries. The kids discussed that I definitely had the power of Demeter but my mother was human or mortal. I didn't understand it either. Then I was tested with Apollo. Bow and arrows was so easy for me. I didn't need training. I had keen eyesight. 20/20 vision. Right after target practice they declared me daughter of Apollo but then I told them about my powers of Demeter. They said I needed to be tested more. Next was wrestling. Even if I look skinny and small I beat the toughest even Clarisse. So they declared me daughter of Ares(Clarisse almost died) but then I mentioned my other powers. They said I should go see Chiron. I did. Chiron said that we'll discuss after I am determined. He said to go to sword training. I did. I was tested with all types of swords but they didn't feel right. They didn't feel balanced. But I was partnered with none other than Percy. We already had the lessons with Luke. So Percy and I struck together sending a huge clang! piercing the noises around us. We backed away from each other. Then Percy struck. I countered. We continued doing this until I did something that surprised all of us. I struck down hard knocking Percy off balance. Then I flipped over him, landed and kicked him in the back sending him sprawling. I immediately dropped my sword and knelt beside Percy.

     "Sorry," I muttered. Everybody in the sword training arena was staring at us. I helped Percy up. He kept stuttering at how was I able to do that. I answered the obvious. "I don't know," I had to keep repeating. Luke came over and said I have some good potential. Next thing I knew it was friday. (friday! friday! gotta get down on friday... sorry) The Capture the Flag game was happening today. But I found myself with Percy and Grover first. So I decided to ask the big question for Percy.

     "Grover. Why are the four cabins empty?" I asked. He said that the one on the side the silvery white one was Artemis. She vowed to be a maiden forever. So no kids. But they keep the cabin so she doesn't get mad. The two cabins at the front(Zeus and Poseidon) were empty because of an oath. It was with Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. The Big Three. After WWII they decided that they shouldn't sire anymore kids because they were too dangerous. Zeus failed seventeen years ago. He had a kid named Thalia. Grover said that terrible things happened to her. She had a strong aura after all. In the end there was a huge battle at the top of the hill. She told her friends to get to the inside of camp while she held off the monsters. She died. But Zeus took pity to her. He turned her into a pine tree. The same pine tree on Half Blood Hill. Her spirit made a boundary around the camp keeping out monsters.

     "Grover. I also need to tell you about my... abilities. I have Demeter, Apollo, Ares powers and I'm pretty sure many more. How do I have these three all at once?" I asked. Percy just seemed shocked. Both of us looked to Grover. He gasped. "So you do know," I said. He shook his head.

     "I have an idea. Did you talk to Chiron?" he said. I nodded. "You're for sure going to get claimed. No wonder," he muttered.

     "No wonder what?" Percy and I asked.

     "We'll talk later. Right now is Capture the Flag," Grover announced. Right after he said that Annabeth and two other Athena kids ran out and carried a huge flag. It was grey with a barn owl and an olive branch. Then Clarisse and two others came out with a flag but it was bloody red and had a spear and a boar's head. We started to get ready. Luke told me that I was border patrol. I was fine. Percy grumbled. We went off to the creek. Then five Ares kids showed up not a moment too soon. They started taking on Percy because they were still mad. I got knocked into the creek so I was out of the way. But strength surged into my body the moment I fell in the creek. I fought off two Ares kids like Percy. We stood against Clarisse together. Shoulder to shoulder Percy knocked and split her spear and I knocked her onto her butt. Percy had tons of sword slashes and I literally had two. On my arms. The blue team(our team)came running in with the Ares flag. We won. I stayed in the creek though. I felt great in it. I looked on my arms. The scratches were just scars. The blood was gone. I looked to Annabeth who just appeared from under her invisibility Yankees cap. She was thinking hard.

     "Percy, Claira step out of the water," she ordered. Everyone gathered around the creek. We did. I immediately felt tired. She told us to step back in. I did and I felt energized. I realized what was happening. I looked straight at Annabeth. I shook my head.

     "No. I have other powers. Not just him anyway. Especially him. I thought they were better than that. No. I'm not his sister!" I whisper shouted. Right after that I heard a growl. I turned around and a wolf like thing came charging at Percy and me. I got in front of Percy and slashed the thing. Hellhound. Then everyone gasped.

     "Oh Styx. I thought it would be Zeus-" Annabeth muttered. I looked above my head. Floating there was a green trident. Then it was official. I was so confused and angry(a little). That totally took Percy and me out of the relationship because above his head was the trident. Percy didn't see it yet. He tried apologizing. "Your father Percy," Annabeth muttered.

     "Our father," I clarified. Percy turned to me. I motioned above his head. He looked up. Everybody knelt.

     "Not good Chiron," Annabeth turned to Chiron.

     "My... our father?" Percy asked so confused.

     "Poseidon. Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail Perseus Jackson and Claira Vega son and daughter of the Sea God," Chiron knelt with everyone else. Not possible and so not good.
