i wake up the next morning surrounded by a warm embrace, i yawned and looked up to see Caleb

Did anything happen last night?

No.. nothing could've happened... we aren't dating and we only met a week ago...

I jolted up in a panic "woah woah, Payton, what's wrong?" Caleb yawned rubbing his eyes "just... uhm.. leave.. I'll explain later at group" I said, Caleb sighed and nodded "alright. But, I have to ask you something later" Caleb smiled and left, I grabbed clothes from my dresser, walked into the bathroom, took a shower and got dressed forgetting I cut the other day.

I walked downstairs and opened the fridge to grab a banana, as I'm not that hungry "hey get going. You don't have time for food" my dad said, I sighed closing the fridge and putting my shoes on

I grabbed my bag and left.

I got to group and went inside, not seeing Caleb, I sat down confused, Caleb's usually here before I am

i wonder if he forgot it was my birthday....

Mr. Densey started the lecture, today was weird, we got a break.

i sat in the court yard under a tree and started writing "hey, Payton, got a minute?" a kid asked sitting in front of me, i stopped writing and sighed then looked up "what" i said "i'm Hayden, and i just wanted to say that, i really like you and i don't get how you're here honestly, and you shouldn't hang around Caleb, he's well.. not what he seems" the Hayden kid said "what do you mean?" i asked "well first, i'm his cousin, so i know a lot, second, after a while he becomes a dick, so i wouldn't hang around him" Hayden said, i got angry when he said that "Caleb is not a bad guy! he's the sweetest guy I've met! So maybe it's you who's the dick!" i blurted out.

i got up and walked back to the building, only to bump into someone "woah, Payton what's wrong" i looked up and saw Caleb, i hadn't realized i started crying "you ok?" he asked "Hayden" is all i said, Caleb rubbed my back soothingly, as i quietly sobbed into his chest "i'll go to talk to him ok?" Caleb said, i nodded and sat close the doors on the sidewalk, i tried listening to what Caleb was saying to Hayden, but i couldn't hear him.

soon Caleb came back "Payton, why did Hayden say you and him were dating?" Caleb asked kneeling in front of me

that asshole!

"i don't even know him!" i yelled, Caleb nodded and we went inside as our "break" finished, we sat down, after everyone piled into the room and sat down, Mr.Densey started yet another lecture.

i raised my hand "what now Payton" he said "can i go home? i'm not feeling well" I asked, Mr. Densey sighed and excused me, without having someone go with me

I thanked him, grabbed my bag and left, I go to the bridge again, this time, knowing I can't fail this time... i just can't..

i dropped my bag beside the ledge and climbed over and sat there, i held on to the pillar beside me

this is for treating me so wrong, this is so i'm not a nuisance anymore.. i love you Caleb.. i'm sorry..

I heard yelling behind me, unaware that it was Caleb...

Here's the thing about this bridge, it's not your average bridge like the suicide bridge in California. It's small, the water isn't that far below either, the water is about 29 inches or so from the bridge itself. But it's still far enough to hurt someone badly or kill them. There's jagged rocks in the water too.

I stood up on the ledge and stepped forward, falling into the dark, ocean blue-ish grey abyss...

I could still see out as I fell deeper into the water, I saw Caleb, he was getting ready to jump in....

Please don't Caleb... just let me die here...
