Sae-Young's POV
"Taehyung, I'm not so sure about this..." I muttered, holding his hand firmly. "It's too... posh."
Taehyung only chuckled, his eyes lighting up with amusement. He found it funny that I was too modest for fancy places like this. We had a reservation at a five-star restaurant called Singularity, and judging from the outside of the building, it lived up to its name. From the windows, I could see crystal chandeliers providing light for round tables covered with black and red silk table clothes. The decorations inside were also amazing; classic paintings and sculptors, along with marble pillars and floors. The patrons inside were enjoying their meals, and drinking deep red wine. I was nervous, just standing at their front steps. My nose was suddenly booped by Taehyung's finger, drawing my attention towards him. As usual, he had a box smile pulling on his pink lips. His smile added to his charming appearance; he was dressed in a black and red tuxedo, matching the interior of the building. A cute bow tie was tied around his collar, the black material contrasting against his red dress shirt. His chocolate brown hair was split off to the left, forming a large wave-like style. I was surprised when he walked out of the bathroom after I had finished getting ready first. Taehyung chuckled when my jaw dropped upon his exit out of the bathroom. Boy, does he know how to clean up nicely.
"Come on jagiyah," he ushered, tugging on my arm gently. "Jin Hyung and Kook are waiting."
I let out a nervous sigh as I followed behind Taehyung. He held the door open for me, allowing me to step in first. When Taehyung stepped inside, he addressed the host. The man was a foot taller than me but shorter than Taehyung. He greeted us with a smile, and his lips formed into a heart shape.
"We have a reservation for Kim SeokJin," Taehyung announced, where the man nodded in response.
"This way please," he said, using his hand to direct us.The man led us away from the main area of tables, up the stairs, and towards a hallway with private dining areas. He stopped in front of a doorway at the hall and raised his arm towards it. His face was plastered with a smile as he placed his hand on the doorknob. The man was about to open it but was stopped by Taehyung.
"Why don't you go inside first Sae-Youngie?" Taehyung suggested. "I need to use the restroom."
"U-Uh okay..." I agree, where an unconscious nervous chuckle left my mouth.
Taehyung spun on his heel and walked in the direction we just came from. I turned back to the man, who was still smiling.
"This way young miss," he said, opening the door for me.
"Thank you," I smiled, walking into the private room. When the door shut behind me, I turned my attention to the room. It was quite large for just four people, the size of one of the university classrooms. A small table was set up in the middle of the room, and I was confused why it was only set up with two chairs. Just like outside, there was a beautiful chandelier hanging above the table, giving off an abundance of light. To my left, there was a large window peering out into the city. But I froze when I saw someone standing in front of the glass, admiring the city lights.
The figure turned around, and I felt my blood run cold. The city lights lit up his face, a calm expression plastered on his features. Even as he approached me, I couldn't even move my feet; neither my flight or fight response kicked in, and I felt blank. Only my eyes followed him as he stood in front of me, and I hesitantly looked up at my brother. His eyes were soft, like a peaceful doe looking back at me. A signature smile tugged on his lips, round dimples forming in his cheeks.
"Sae-Young baby girl," he cooed, wrapping his arms around me.
A warm, nostalgic feeling washed over me, and I felt myself returning the hug. It didn't feel foreign to have Namjoon hug me, just like all those other times when we were kids. His arms around me were strong but delicate; I felt regret in his grip, along with sadness but relief. Namjoon let out a heavy breath against the nape of my neck, and his arms around me tightened.
"Gosh... I missed you so much," he whispered gently.I didn't realize I was crying until Namjoon pulled away and cupped my cheeks in his hands. He wiped away my unconscious tears with the pads of his thumbs, but more kept streaming down my face.
"Sae-Young..." he chuckled, followed by his own tears. "You're making me cry..."
"I c-cant h-help it..." I hiccuped, trying to wipe my tears away with my shirt sleeves.
Namjoon pulled me into another hug, where we stayed like that until we got all our tears out.Taehyung's POV
"Aigoo," Jimin chuckled beside me. "They're so adorable."
"Gosh, was it that hard?" Felix sighed beside me. "Noona seems like a nice girl, I don't understand why Namjoon Hyung was so afraid."
"Sae-Young isn't violent in nature," I shrugged cheerfully. "I was surprised when she slapped him, but I guess it was right at the moment."
Jackson Hyung, who was watching the monitor turned to me and started laughing.
"So she did slap him!" he exclaimed, breaking down into so much laughter, he fell off his chair.
"Why is he even here?" Yoongi Hyung growled, switching to another camera peering outside.
"He wouldn't shut up about wanting to tease Namjoon," Suho answered, shooting the man an annoyed glare. We all sighed as Jackson continued to roll around on the floor in his own blind humour.
"How are things outside?" Kyungsoo Hyung asked, coming into the room and taking a seat beside Suho.
Yoongi switched to a camera monitoring the streets outside the restaurant. On the monitor, we could see Jinyoung, YoungJae, Bambam and Bang Chan walking around and keeping an eye on things. Hyung switched the camera again, and this time, Mark Hyung, JB and HyunJin were standing on the rooftop across from Sae-youngie's and Namjoon's room. He kept switching cameras, and everything looked to be good so far.We watched as Namjoon Hyung pulled Sae-Young over to the table we set up for them. This was the part where he would tell her everything; about his reasons for leaving, about the mafia, about how she's close to being in danger. It brought a smile to my face, watching Namjoon being soft with Sae-young. We've never seen the leader in this manner, usually, he's friendly towards his loved one, cold towards his enemies, but here, he's like a little kitten, innocent and sweet.
"I didn't know Namjoon had that side," Jackson confessed, finally getting a hold of himself.
"The man adores his sister, leave him alone," Kyungsoo scornfully said, pulling on Jackson's ear.My eyes were fully focused on the Kim siblings, ignoring Kyungsoo's and Jackson's bickering. The way the camera was positioned, I could see Namjoon's face, but only the side of her head. When Namjoon spoke to her, she looked up at him a few times but stared down at her lap. I guess she was still a little shocked that we set her up with Namjoon, instead of just having dinner with Jungkook, Jin Hyung and I. I just hope she accepts what we do, and won't be angry with us for lying to her.
"What are they saying?" Jackson questioned, and we all let out a laboured groan.
"Jackson, seriously, can you just let them have their dinner together?" I growled towards him.
"Hey respect your elders Taehyung!" he shot back.
"Respect the moment the kids are having!" Yoongi snapped. "They haven't spoken like this for four years, let them have their moment in peace."
"Can I tape his mouth shut?" Jimin asked, pulling out a roll of tape that was somehow in his jacket.
"Go ahead," Yoongi waved dismissively.
Jackson gulped and shot up to his feet. He bolted out of the room, with Jimin hot on his heels. As he ran after him, he pulled the tape free from the roll.
"Oh, Jackson Hyung~!" Jimin called, while his voice faded down the hall.A few seconds later, we heard Jackson's feeble screaming, only to be stopped instantly.
"He was giving me a headache," Felix sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I would hate to be the person to get on Jimin's bad side," Suho shuddered.
"Trust me, behind that angelic appearance is a devil," Yoongi chuckled.
A short time later, Jimin skipped into the room and took a seat beside me. He had a creepy smile on his face, probably pleased with what he did.
"Uh... Why is Jackson bound with tape in a bathroom stall?" Bambam asked through the communicator.
"Don't worry about it Bam," Felix shrugged.
"I-If you say so..."
