Chapter 4

Three days after and Say is back with her cheerdance routine sa gabi. Kasalukuyan silang nagpapahinga muna nang maulinigan niyang may pinag-uusapan na naman ang kanyang squad over something. Or someone.

"Hey...he's back...look!"

" The nameless handsome janitor..."

Napasunod ng tingin si Say at nakita ang lalaking dahilan kaya sinisipon siya ngayon dahil sa tubig sa pool nung nakaraang gabi. Napasimangot siya ng maisip na hindi parin siya nakakaganti rito.

"He's cute for a random gym janitor, don't ya think?"

"He is pero wag nyo nalang siyang pansinin. Unang una, kailan pa kayo pumapansin ng janitors? He's not on our level. No matter how cute he is."

" Teka, are you referring to that working student na si Nick?"

"You knew him?"

Narinig ni Say na sabat ng isa sa kanilang squad member na si Jerica. She can't help but listen to her words dahil kahit naiinis sa lalaki ay curious din siya dito.

"Yep, he's Nick Marciano... a graduating student. Nasa night class siya. Crush siya ng kapatid kong nasa Business Management din. Of all my sister could've had crush with, dun pa sa poor na, sobrang boring pa."

So he's a student here in the university? How come I didn't see him before?

"Boring?"

"Well, its my sis who told me, aloof yung lalaking yan.Ni hindi ngumingiti no matter what you do. He's serious. "

" Well, perhaps he hasn't seen Say yet, our dear cheerleader queen kaya medyo aloof siya or hindi pa nahuhulog sa isang ka-tribo ni Eba."

"Diba Say?" untag ni Tori kay Say na nakikinig pero nakatingin sa kawalan. "Say!"

"Ha? Ah...Ako? Bat ako nasama sa usapan ninyo? Are you talking about that brute?" tinapunan niya ng masamang tingin ang direksyon nito.

"Hah! I wanted to hide what happen the other day but for sure maririnig nyo rin sa iba. That guy... Pinahiya niya ako sa mga students dun sa library. He told me things like " I should be patient, that I wasn't important, that I was this and that - "

"Waah! He did that to you - to the Queen of Cheer Slay, the Governor's daughter?"

"Here's the thing...he was the son of our cook, and he lives in our mansion now, albeit sometimes."

"Wow! This is interesting! Naiinis ka sa lalaki at ang lalaking iyun pala ay nakaenroll sa school na pag-aari ng family mo and also stays at your house as the son of your househelp!"

"What do they say girls, Keep your friends close but your enemies closer!" Kumikislap ang mata ni Cheska at ang mga nakikinig.

"Ano ba kayo girls, naiinis nga ako sa kanya pero hindi ko naman magagawa iyon. Anyways, from now on, stop talking about that guy. Let's focus na sa practice. Come on."

Natapos ang kanilang practice at dere-deretso na sa parking lot kung saan kalimitan sa mga kaibigan niya ay may sariling kotse. Samantalang siya ay hatid-sundo. Bago ang mga ito magsipagsikayan sa sari-sariling kotse, bigla nalang siyang hinila nila Cheska. The girls had some plans about the boy but she was obviously not interested.
