*Peter's POV*

I've had the biggest crush on (Y/N) since middle school, but when high school came around, she became popular, and I didn't. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I want to scream out "hey look I'm cool too! I'm Spider-Man", but I know I can't say that...Tony would actually kill me. So at the start of junior year, I decided that I'd use my free time for the next best thing: a job. Now, I know that by night I'm Spider-Man, but by day I spend most of my afternoons working at 16 Handles because I know that's where (Y/N) likes to get her frozen yogurt....

"Yo Peter!" Ned whispers behind me, as I stand by the cash register. He's seated in a booth right near me, holding a comic book to cover his face so that he looks like he's some top secret spy. He's doing a terrible job, because the comic book is upside down.

"What?" I whisper back, pretending I don't know him as I work the 16 Handles register.

"Is she here yet?" Ned asks.

"No. Shut up! Oh wait, she's coming in!" I play it cool, and ignore Ned's continuous questions as I watch (Y/N) look over the frozen yogurt options. She looks up at me, and for a second I think she's about to start a conversation with me.

"Hey, can I get some of those sample cup things?" She asks with a kind smile.

So much for her wanting to talk to me...

"Oh, yeah." I say, holding out 3 sample cups to her.

"Thanks, Peter." She turns away, and my heart stops.

She knows my name! She knows my name!

I turn to Ned and give him a wild look. He shakes his head miserably and points at my name tag.

Crap, she probably just read the name tag.

I sigh, and she places her frozen yogurt on the machine to weigh it. She hands me her card to pay, and I'm 100% convinced that this will be our last interaction of the day.

"When did they get rid of the mango flavored one?" She asks me, pointing at the froyo dispensers. She's looking right in my eyes, and I feel like my knees are going to buckle.

She doesn't have to be talking to me right now. She already paid!

"Oh uh, last week I think. It was my favorite flavor to be honest." I reply with a shrug.

"Mine too...hmm, see you at school Peter." She turns and heads out.

"Ned! Ned! Did you see that?" I ask, looking over my shoulder at him. He'd dropped the comic and was staring open mouthed at me.

"You guys are still losers." Michelle mumbled from the table next to Ned, and I rolled my eyes.
