We would be honoured if you could make it

I know it sounds cliche but when I woke up on the day of my wedding, it was exactly as I hoped it would be. I heard birdsong drift through the window, along with a cool, gentle breeze. I stretched out and sat up against the head board of the bed, leaning across to Tom's side of the bed and realised he wasn't there. I then suddenly remembered why he wasn't there and an excited squeal released itself from my mouth. I picked up my mobile off the bedside table and dialled Tom's number. Tom had stayed at Benedicts that night, because he was adament it would be unlucky if he saw me before hand. As nice as it was, having the house alone to myself, it was also a horrible experience. The bed was colder since there wasn't a long, warm body beside me to snuggle into and I was scared that Tom would never come back. Until I woke up the next day. The phone rang twice before Tom picked up, he sounded tired... or nervous.

"Good morning darling, did you sleep well?" I ignored his question completely and squealed into the phone.

"We're getting married today!! I can't believe I'm going to be Mrs Hiddleston!!" He laughed at me lightly then I heard him yawn.

"So you do plan to say 'I do' then" He teased, yawning again, moaning as he stretched out.

"Oops.. was I not supposed to say" I teased back, giggling again. I couldn't contain my excitement, I was like a child at christmas. "Spoiler alert! She marries the man of her dreams" I whispered, hearing his "ehehe" from his end of the line.

"That's one spoiler I don't mind hearing!" he said, more awake than a few minutes ago. "I really missed you last night" his soft voice melted my heart, he was so lovely and I was glad he was going to be my husband in just five hours time.

"I missed you too baby. The bed wasn't as warm without you in it." I mumbled then sighed. The doorbell rang suddenly and I could only assume it was Jen. "I think Jen's just arrived so I need to go now sweetheart. Her, Elsa and your sisters are going to make me beautiful for you" I said, the doorbell ringing again.

"They don't need to do that darling, to me, you are always beautiful. You could come dressed in a bin bag and I'd still think you look gorgeous!" Tom replied, making my stomach cramp and heart skip. "But if you feel more comfortable dressing up and having your hair and makeup done then I'll play along" I chuckled at this remark and went to speak before he started to talk again. "And darling?"

"Yes Thomas?"

"I love you so much" he finished. A small tear fell onto my cheek, the sound of my heart beating hard, blocked out the sound of the repeating door bell.

"I love you too Tom... I really must go now, I still haven't let Jen in" I giggled, wiping the tear away. Tom laughed and said goodbye, wishing me luck with the girls.

When I finally opened the door, Jen stormed past with curlers in her hair, pushing Harvey in his buggy.

"It's about bloody time Pips! Now all your neighbours know how stupid I look!" I laughed as she shoved a bottle of white wine into my hands, naturally I went and poured her a glass.

"Sorry, Tom was on the phone and I couldn't get away" I apologised handing her the glass.

"More like... didn't want to get away" she looked at me, eyebrow raised and then laughed when I blushed. I refilled Harvey's milk bottle and gave it to him, in which he gurgled a thank you... At least that's what I presume he did.
