"And now if you could raise your glasses and welcome, the new, Mr and Mrs Hiddleston!" My heart raced as the double doors opened and Tom and I stepped into the room. A large roar of applause erupted into the room the second our guests saw us. I could hear all the Avengers cast, minus Scarlett, whooping from the other side of the room, making both Tom and I chuckled softly together. Frank, Jen and Harvey were all sitting at the table next to ours, I noticed Jen had been crying as her face was slightly blotchy and her mascara had smudged. I winked in her direction and mouthed "its yours next" putting a huge smile on her face while she laughed hysterically at me.

When we reached our table everyone had raised their glass high waiting for us to join and drink with them. Tom's hand remained on the small of my back the whole time, his fingers tips grazing the top of my bum sneakily every once in a while. I downed the glass of champagne in one swift movement and Tom looked at me, one eyebrow raised.

"I hope you don't get too drunk tonight. How will we be able to have our 'private celebration' if you're passed out from being highly intoxicated?" he winked at me and pinched my ass cheek softly, making me flinch slightly.

"Not now Thomas!" I growled quietly through my teeth, secretly wanting to feel his playful touch again.

We had finished our meals and it was time for the speeches. Because I didn't realise my parents were coming to the wedding, I had asked Jen to make a speech in Dad's place, which of course she happily took the opportunity to do. Jen slid her chair out from underneath her and tapped the side of her wine glass with a teaspoon, so she could have everyone's attention. Head's turned in her direction and I smiled at her nervously, wondering what she could possibly say to embarass me.

"Firstly, a huge congrats to Piper and Tom for taking the big step and starting a life together!" A small applause was shared before Jen continued. "Well, where to begin I suppose. I'm Jen, Pips and I have been best friends since we were very tiny, I mean we were like still in diapers. She sort of became the little sister I'd never planned for. Little did I know though that I would still be her best friend today and for many more years to come... I hope" She giggled and the guests laughed along with her. "I'd like to just add before I start my proper speech that I would like to say 'You're welcome' to Tom and Piper" Tom and I looked at each other confused, wondering what the hell Jen was going on about. Jen continued eagerly. "Because if it weren't for me, you two would never have met!" Both Tom and I burst into a it of laughter as we remembered the conversation we'd had that very first night we met.

After a few moments, Jen continued.
"So, onto the proper stuff I guess. Pips has always been one of those girls who would be hooked on one guy for years and years at high school, I'm not kidding, she had a crush on a boy called George Webster for four years! Anyway, my point is that clearly, Piper is one of the most committed ladies I've ever met. And although she's been through some rough times recently, Tom has helped her through it, every step of the way! Obviously, when she told me that the guy she'd met at the bar was Tom Hiddleston... Truthfully, it took me some time to believe her. Tom Hiddleston? The hot English guy who played Loki and Captain Nicholls in Warhorse?! Piper.. don't screw with me! But then she introduced me to him... granted I did almost faint, thanks to my inner fan girl, but nevertheless, it was indeed Tom Hiddleston. So when Piper announced to me that the two of them were engaged, I couldn't have been happier for her! Tom and Piper are such an adorable couple, always making time for one another and giving each other a shoulder to cry on. Basically.. Tom has stolen my job of the best friend. But I don't care, because I can see how much they love and respect each other! A big congratulations to Tom and Piper, to many years to come!" Jen raised her glass high in the air, mimicked by her son with his bottle of Ribena, causing a roll of laughter throughout the room. The rest of the guest cheered and drank to us.
