Given that she is the reason the Mikaelsons were forced to separate at the end of the fourth season of The Originals, after causing chaos throughout that season of the show, one can assume she isn't particularly popular.

Inadu was born around 500 A.D. to a tribe of powerful Native American witches. The Elders bestowed great power upon her during her mother's pregnancy, hoping the child would become a symbol of prosperity. However, Inadu only began to crave more power, and killed members of her own tribe. Due to this, her tribe killed her, but before she died, she cast a final spell that created the werewolf curse. She is an ancestor of Hayley Marshall and Hope Mikaelson.

Over the centuries, many groups and cults were formed which worshipped 'The Hollow', as she was called. When she was finally able to resurrect herself, she had a group of followers reay to serve her.

Inadu was true to her nickname. She was ruthless, and only cared about power. She was willing to kill whoever she had to for it, and was willing to make any sacrifice to gain more power.

To stop The Hollow from possessing young Hope Mikaelson, Vincent Griffith performed a spell which separated her spirit into four pieces, and placed them into the bodies of Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, and Kol Mikaelson. As a consequence, the four of them had to stay away from each other and Hope so the Hollow could never regain her power. They are still currently in this situation, and whether they will be able to get of the Hollow's spirit once and for all remains to be seen.
