-Emma-

I waited until I was in the depths of the theater before withdrawing that damned piece of cloth. I looked around before unfolding it and reading the note.

In Tom's elegant script it read:

Emma,

Meet me tonight at the hotel. Don't be coy and not come, we are all staying in the same hotel I know you know because they placed all of us there. Be there around 3AM on the Rooftop. I just want to talk. I miss you.

always my love,

Tom.

The tears built in my eyes once more. How dare he demand my presence. How dare he call for me as if I was some slut.

I was certainly not going to go, I thought haughtily and stuffed it back into my handbag.

If I were more observant, I would see a pair of eyes trained on me, watching me read and ignore the note. If I were more observant I would have seen the pieces of his heart fall one by one.
