"Who are you?" Thomas asked, holding the trigger.
The red hooded male turned around, a soft smile on his pale pink lips. Not affected by the gun pointing directly at him.
"Can't someone relax?" He sarcastically answered, getting up and walking over to Thomas. He, also being taller then Thomas like everyone else. He held out his hand for a handshake. "I'm Tord, and you?"
"How can I trust you?" Thomas growled, holding his gun tighter.
"I'm not armed!" Presumingly, Tord, held his hands beside his head in surrender. Turning around in a circle, only to hold out his hand out again for a handshake. "Now, who are you?"
Thomas sighed, lowering his gun. He hesitated before shaking the others hand. "Thomas, but I prefer Tom." Thomas answered.
Tords smile only grew into a big grin. His teeth were surprisingly sharp. "Wanna join me?" He asked, walking back to the waters edge.
Thomas shrugged, following the other. Tord stuck his feet back into the water. But Thomas, he just sat crossed legged at the waters edge.
An awkward but comfortable silence surrounded the two males. Thomas wanted to break the silence, but didn't know what to say. Until he thought of some questions.
"Why are you out here un-armed? What if one of the Red Army soldiers find you and you cannot defend yourself?" Thomas asked, looking at the occasional colourful fish that swam by in the water.
Tord sighs. Something was on his mind, but he could not tell Thomas or he would run away and be afraid. "I've never crossed paths with one before..."
"Believable. We are in a forest." Thomas stated, laying back into the soft green grass. "But why bother relaxing when theirs an Army attacking most of the world and could possibly kill you at any second. Or a passing survivor, like us, misunderstands that you are one of them."
"Just like you." Tord answered, laying back beside Thomas. "Besides, I come here regularly now. It's calming and no one passes by. Well, your an exception."
Thomas nodded. "Yeah, your right, I guess. But how would I know if either one of us were planning on killing the other?"
After that, Thomas, in a quick movement, tackled Tord. Now sitting on his stomach and holding a gun to his head.
"Like that? How would you defend yourself?" Thomas chuckled.
Tord smirked. "Well, then I'll just do this..."
In another quick movement, Tord grabbed Thomas by the waist and tackled him. Now Tord was on top but how a dog would stand, and was also holding Thomas's gun.
The two started to laugh, having fun, smiling. Their first fun experience ever since the Army invasion.
"ooo, nice gun, where did you get it from?" Tord asked, getting off of Thomas and examining the pistol.
Thomas sat up, crossing his legs. "Well, I got it from my parents..." Thomas rubbed his neck nervously.
Tord noticed the Red Army symbol carved on the trigger. Not that anyone notices it's there, apart from Red Army soldiers. But Tord, he kept quiet.
Tord flicked the side of the pistols hand holder, the part that was out of place. The gun broke apart, rebuilding itself to a bigger and more powerful looking gun.
"Where did your parents get this gun?" Tord asked, looking directly at Thomas and holding the extension of the gun.
"Uh... my parents stole it from the Red Army..? Heh..." Thomas answered. "Also, I didn't know that it could do that! I promise!"
Tord nodded, flicking the switch again. The gun turned back to normal. He threw the pistol back at Thomas, who which caught it. Tord walked back over to Thomas, sitting down.
"I didn't know either, I was just playing around..." Tord rubbed the back of his neck. Thomas nodded. "Hey, wanna star gaze for a bit?" Tord asked, laying on the grass.
"You star gaze? Don't you have to get back to your base with your friends?" Thomas asked, following Tords action in laying down.
Tord rested his head on his hands. "Nah, they'll be fine. Don't you have to go back to your friends?" Tord asked, gazing the stars.
Thomas shrugged. "Maybe, but they'll live. And I wouldn't really call them my friends..." Thomas answered.
"Why not?" Tord asked.
"I only met them today while I was taking care of an injury..." Thomas answered.
"What injury?"
Thomas sat up, lifting up his sleeve. Tord moved his gaze over to Thomas.
A bullet wound.
"How did you get that?"
"Two Red Army soldiers found me in an abandoned house. I hid from them while they argued if they saw me or not. When it became silent, one of my ammo pieces fell off my sash and gained their attention. I made a run for it, only to be shot. But I got away." Thomas answered.
"Ah, okay. May I ask, what did they look like? Just so if I run into one."
Thomas shrugged. "If you haven't seen their uniforms, they wear navy blue trench coats, red turtleneck sweaters, black pants and combat boots." Thomas described. "One of the soldiers had their name tag upside down. He also had big eyebrows in my opinion. I've never seen what usual people look like though, so I can't judge. Anyway, the other soldier, he had weird bangs, sorta like chicken wings."
Tord nodded, making a mental note of Thomas's words.
The sky started to change colour. The stars started to disappear as the colours of orange, pink and blues started to paint the sky.
"I must be going..." Thomas said, standing up and started to walk away.
"Wait!" Tord called, also standing up. "Will I see you tomorrow night?"
Thomas thought about this. He then shrugged. "Yeah, sure, you will." Thomas answered.
Tord lips now had a plastered grin. "See you then, friend!" Tord called, walking back over to his shoes.
Thomas smiled.
"Until then."
