Fact - During WWII, an American plane crashed on a Japanese island (Chi Chi Jima). There were 9 men on board. Eight of them were captured and eaten. The one who was rescued was George H.W. Bush.

Place - Altona Homestead (128 Victoria St., Altona, Victoria)
This historic homestead is rumoured to be haunted by a whole horde of spectres, including former owners and residents. Objects have been known to move of their own accord, and a security guard once spotted an elderly lady in period clothing staring at him from within the house after closing hours.
