Chapter 5
His Majesty's Personal Maid - Who do I belong to?
"I'm your new personal maid"
As I said this I smiled at Jack and passed by him to go back to my room. After I reached my room I threw myself on my bed. I was physically drained and what I wanted now was a long relaxing nap. As I started to drift into a deep sleep I started to dream about the past.
Flashback
"Maria come here we need you to go feed 'him' again."
My aunt said to me as I was playing with our large Great Dane. I went into the house and got the food for 'him', our clan's deadly demon. I walked down the long path out of the village, into the caves where 'he' was located at. I gave 'him' the food like I always do but today instead of leaving I stayed. I stared into the eyes of the boy not much older than me, hated by everyone because of what he was. I spoke to him for the first time
"Mister what's your name?"
He stared at me in silence as he quickly ate the food. Minutes later he answered my question in a raw voice
"Kai, my name is Kai."
He stared at me and asked
"Aren't you scared of me?" You're always the one to bring me food. Why aren't you scared of me?Everybody else is."
His question seemed odd to the six year old me. So I started giggling and answered his strange question
"Because you're nice and you're the only person that's my friend here."
All he said to me was "You're weird."
End of Flashback
There was a loud knock on the door as Jack came into the room.
Jack's P.O.V.
Maria was lying in the bed as I entered the room. I went to the bed side and checked to see if she was awake. She rolled over to face me and stared with her beautiful soul peircing eyes as I spoke in a calm voice
"Maria, I'm not going to ask what you did or how you did it for that matter but I hope you know Maria that you belong to me now."
She continued to stare at me with those beautiful sea colored eyes as she processed my words. When she finally understood them her cheeks flushed a bright red as she threw a pillow to my face. I chuckled slightly as I grabbed her wrist before she could rearm. And when my skin touched hers I felt a shock of electricity pass through my entire body. Apparently she felt it too as she pulled her hand away and spoke to me in a devil's tone
"Jack I may be your personal maid but I do not belong to you."
I smiled at her and with a quick kiss on her cheek I whispered to her
"We'll see about that."
