Chapter Sixteen
Thank god it was Friday. I don’t think I could have faced going to school. Sitting in my room I was preparing to spend the weekend at home alone when I heard a knock at the door. As soon as I opened the door, I regretted it. It was Louis, and Harry?
“Hey Louis. Harry.”
“Hey Em, Look you and Harry need to sort out whatever is going on. I don’t want either of you to get hurt and I know Tara would kill me for saying this but you to like each other and everyone can see it. Harry, why do you think Elyse broke it off? She not stupid.”
“Louis, Well she did say she didn’t want to come between anything.”
“Exactly, so you two are going for a walk and you will sort everything out. Now go, be friendly at least.”
It looks like Louis had stolen my house key and he locked me out of my own house. Harry and I awkwardly walked towards the park.
“Look, about yesterday—“
Harry stopped me and pulled me in for a hug.
“I’m sorry, for everything. I kind of dated Elyse to make you jealous. I did like her, but, I still like you.”
“Harry, “
I smiled and we just stood there, holding each other. All of a sudden he got down on one knee.
“Harry, what the hell are you doing?”
“Relax, it’s not what you think. Emily, will you, please go on a date with me?”
“Yes.”
He jumped off the floor and kissed me. I never wanted that kiss to end.
“But wait, what about Elyse, I know she broke up with you but I don’t want people to think I drove you apart.”
“But I don’t care who knows THAT I HAVE A DATE WITH EMILY!!!!”
“Harry shush! Please, do you think just for a while we can keep it a secret?”
“For you, of course. So dinner at my place tomorrow at 7?”
“Sounds good.”
He kissed me on the cheek and we walked home. Louis was gone by the time we got there, and so was my key! But I didn’t care. Because I had a date with Harry Styles.
