I am so confused .
We've stopped playing the game now because it got boring so now we're all in the kitchen eating dinner . I just can't stop thinking about what happened . . .
Who could it have been ?
"You okay lil bit?" Montana asks .
That's his new nickname for me .
"Yeah . . ." I lie .
I wanna know who it was but I don't want everybody else to know about it .
"You look like you got something on ya mind ." He says .
"Nah, I'm ok ." I continue eating my spaghetti and meatballs .
A little while later Kentrell's grandma says she's going to sleep and that's when I realise that it's like 9 o'clock .
"Hey, where's Kendell ?" I ask because I suddenly realise I haven't seen him all day .
"He went back home ." Kentrell answers .
"Oh ." I say .
"What y'all doing tomorrow ? My nigga Gee throwing a party, 9-3 ." Boomer says .
"I'm there ." Ben replies instantly .
"Me too ." 3three says .
"Shit, I'm down ." Kentrell also agrees .
"Will there be weed ?" I ask causing them all to turn and give me weird looks .
"You smoke ?" Kd lifts an eyebrow .
"I mean, sometimes . . ."
"Damn, who'd have thought . Li' baby has a bad side ." 3three says looking impressed .
The reason I started was because it used to help my chest pains a lot when they first started . Now, I just do it for the fun of it .
"My friend and I sometimes skip class and go smoke it at the back of the field ." I explain .
"Dang ." Boomer says .
"So y'all wanna meet at the party or you-" 3three gets cut off by somebody's loud ass phone getting a notification .
. . . A notification that sounds like a spring .
Everybody looks over at Babyjoe as he gets his phone out of his pocket .
Just as I'm managing to process the fact that it was him, he reaches across the table and passes the phone to Kentrell .
"You left yo phone in the car earlier ." Babyjoe says .
"Thanks ." Kentrell replies .
