After they ate Woodland took a shower and went to bed. "What are we gonna do about Woodland and school?" Shane asked. Ryland sighed. "I honestly think we should make him go for a few weeks, keep an eye on him and if he still feels unsafe we can enroll him in online school," he suggested. "That's a good idea," Shane said. Shane and Ryland finished up cleaning and went up to bed themselves. In the morning, Shane got up earlier than normal. He got ready and went to get Woodland. "Woody," Shane said and sat on his bed. "Hmm," Woodland hummed. "Baby, Ryland and I decided that we want you to try going to school for a few weeks," Shane said. Woodland opened his eyes. "What? No!" Woodland panicked and sat up. "Yes Woody, We want you to go for a few weeks and if you still feel unsafe we'll take you out," Shane said. Woodland shook his head no. "Please Woodland, try for me and Ryland?" Shane begged. Woodland looked down. "Only a few weeks?" Woodland asked. "Only a few," Shane answered. "And if I still feel unsafe you won't make me go anymore?" Woodland wanted to confirm. "I promise!" Shane said. Woodland sighed. "Okay," He mumbled. Shane smiled and ran his hand through Woodlands hair. "Thank you," Shane smiled. Woodland nodded sadly and got out of bed. He grabbed his outfit and went downstairs to find Shane in the kitchen. "Want some breakfast?" Shane asked. Woodland shook his head no. Shane sighed. "Wanna get Starbucks?" Shane asked. "Sure," Woodland answered. Shane nodded and finished his bagel. "Lets go!" Shane said and grabbed his stuff. Woodland looked down and followed Shane to his jeep. "What if I don't feel safe today?" Woodland asked as they drove out of the drive way. "I'll email all your teachers and tell them if you want to see me, you have permission to come see me. No matter what!" Shane said. Woodland let out a shaky sigh and nodded. "Okay," he muttered. They pulled into the school and Woodland instantly felt unsafe. "I want to go home!" Woodland said and started to panic. "Hey!" Shane said and grabbed his arm. Woodland looked at him and a single tear fell from his eye. "If you feel scared you come see me right then, okay?" Shane said. Woodland nodded and wiped his eye. "I hate this," Woodland mumbled but Shane heard him and he felt his heart start tug. "Come on baby," Shane said softly. Woodland opened the door and got out and followed Shane inside. "Morning Mr. Adams-Yaw!" One of the office workers greeted. "Morning!" Shane smiled at them. Woodland followed Shane to his office. "Woody, this is your schedule. You go to First class first which is, Gym!" Shane said. Woodland looked at him pleadingly. "What?" Shane asked as he sat at his desk. "I don't wanna do this," Woodland said. Shane sighed. "Woody, I know you're scared and don't wanna do this. But, please, please try!" Shane begged. Woodland looked down at the schedule. He read it in his head.

"Wha-" Woodland started but shook his head. "Never mind," He said. "Do you want me walk you to your first class?" Shane asked. Woodland looked in though. "I don't know," Woodland said. He doesn't wanna be caught with the principle who is also his dad but he also doesn't wanna walk alone. "I can call someone from your first class to come get you," Shane suggested. "Sure," Woodland agreed. Shane nodded and called on the speaker. "Hi Mr. Fischbach can you send Anthony to the office for a moment?" Shane asked over the phone thing. "Thank you," Shane said and hung up. "He'll be here in a minute if you wanna sit down," Shane said to his uneasy child. Woodland slowly sat in one of chairs and waited. "Mr. Adams-Yaw, you called me?" A boy walked in and asked. Shane looked at him confused. "Yes, Anthony, this is Woodland," Shane said. Woodland looked and his jaw dropped. "Anthony?" Woodland asked. "Anthony Abraham?" He asked. "Tanner Woodland, long time no see," Anthony smiled. Woodland hugged him and Anthony chuckled. "It's okay little brother," Anthony laughed. "Little brother? You're twins!" Shane said and his jaw dropped. "Yes sir, we were separated after ou-" Anthony interrupted as Woodland elbowed him in the side. "Woodland!" Shane scolded. "It's fine, Mr. Adams-Yaw, it's okay," Anthony said and ruffled Woodlands hair. "Okay well, can you show his around today?" Shane asked. Anthony nodded and reached for Woodlands schedule. Woodland handed it to him. "Well, we have gym together, along with career prep, English, history and science," Anthony smiled. Woodland smiled. "Thank you Anthony," Shane said. Anthony smiled and nodded. "Be good, Woodland!" Shane warned. "Okay!" Woodland said and they walked out. "Oh my! Twins!" The office lady said causing Anthony and Woodland to laugh. The duo walked to the Gym. "Woah!" All the boys said as they entered. "You okay?" Anthony asked as he saw Woodland start breath heavy. Woodland took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine," Woodland mumbled. "You must be Woodland!" Mr. Fischbach said as he saw them. "Lord almighty there's two!" Another man said as he walked next to Mr. Fischbach. "I'm Woodland," Woodland said. They nodded. "I'm Coach Fischbach, or you can call me Mark or Coach Fish," Mr. Fischbach, Mark, said. Woodland nodded. "And I'm coach McLaughlin, or Sean or Coach McLaugh," The other one with green dyed hair said. "Hi," Woodland said and gulped. "Do you have a uniform yet?" Coach McLaughlin, Sean, asked. Woodland shook his head no. "Okay, you boys are brother correct?" Sean asked. Anthony laughed. "Yeah we're brothers," He said. "Okay Anthony, do you have a spare pair of shorts or sweatpants and an extra shirt he can borrow?" Mark asked. "Yeah, I should," Anthony said and went to his locker. Woodland followed him not knowing anyone else and feeling safer with him. "Here," Anthony said and handed Woodland some sweatpants and a shirt. "Get changed and we can get start!" Sean said. Woodland nodded. There wasn't a bathroom or stall in here so he had no choice but to change in the open. He took his pants off first and quickly put the sweats on. He inaudibly sighed and took his shirt off, exposing all his scars to everyone in the room. He heard whispers and he chuckled. "If you wanna know what happened, you can asked," Woodland said and put his shirt on. "I won't kill ya," He added and threw his clothes in Anthonys locker and closed it. "What happened to you?" One of the boys asked. "I was abused," Woodland said and shrugged. "By who?" Another kid asked. Woodland saw the sad look on Anthonys face. "By my dad after he killed my mom," Woodland said. "Wh-" "That's enough!" Anthony said interrupting the kid. "He said we could ask!" The kid said. "Yeah but you've asked enough!" Anthony said. Woodland looked down and took a deep breath. "Alright boys, lets go to the gym!" Sean said and all the boys left the locker room, going to the gym. Woodland stayed behind. "Woodland?" He looked up and saw Mark. "Yeah?" Woodland asked. "You okay?" He asked. "Um, yeah, Can I go see Shane?" Woodland nodded. Mark nodded. "Yeah! Of course! Do you want someone to walk with you?" He asked. Woodland shook his head no. "Okay, go ahead!" Mark said and smiled at him sympathetically. Woodland left the locker room and went straight to the office. "Can I see Shane?" Woodland asked the lady. "Yeah, go ahead!" She said after noticing it was Woodland and he was upset. Woodland walked back to Shanes office. He saw Shane sitting there on his computer through the opened door. "Woodland?" Shane asked as he saw him. Woodland closed the door. There were no windows in the room so Woodland ran over to Shane and hugged him. "Woah, Woody what happened?" Shane asked. "I don't like it here!" Woodland said into his neck. "What happened?" Shane asked and rubbed his back. "I just wanna go home," Woodland said. Shane sighed. "Can you try and stay until at least lunch?" Shane asked. Woodland shook his head no. "You can come see me when you need, you're gonna be okay!" Shane cooed. "I hate it here!" Woodland said. Shane frowned. He felt something wet drop onto his shoulder. He pulled away from Woodland. "Look at me," Shane said. Woodland looked him in the eye and Shane wiped his tears. "Just until lunch and if you still wanna leave, I'll call Ryland to come get you," Shane suggested. Woodland thought for a second. "Okay," He said and looked down. "Thank you, you can do it baby, I know you can!" Shane said. Woodland nodded slowly. "I love you," Shane said and looked him in his eyes. "I love you too," Woodland said. Shane smiled. "Go to class," Shane said. Woodland nodded. He took a deep breath before leaving and going back to class. "Hey!" Someone yelled as Woodland walked back into the gym. He looked up and saw it was Anthony who was running up to him. "You okay?" He asked. Woodland nodded. "I'm fine," Woodland lied with a smile. "You sure?" He asked. Woodland nodded. Anthony sighed. "Okay, come play soccer with me!" He smiled. Woodland smiled and followed him. Some of the boys where staring at Woodland as he walked by. "He's an orphan! Nobody wants him. That's why his parents abused him," Someone snickered. Woodland stopped in his tracks and glared at him. "Wanna say that to my face?" He glared. "Sure, you're worthless and should go die!" Woodlands eyes turned dark and he charged at him and they started a fist fight that went crazy.
