Through the bare castle balcony window, Jareth saw that Sarah, Hoggle, Ludo, and Sir Didymus had arrived. "Well, that was quick!" Jareth called down to Sarah and her friends. Sarah looked up and smiled. Two goblin guards opened the castle doors for Sarah and her friends to enter.
Once they entered the castle, they went up to the throne room. Once they arrived, they saw that the goblins had prepared a large, circular dinner table with delicious looking foods. Sarah was amazed by everything she saw on the table. The three others were too. Ludo saw that even his favorite meal was served on a VERY large plate.
"What's this?" Sarah asked. "Well, I thought you all must have been famished from your little journey, so I had a little dinner prepared for you." Jareth said, with a welcoming smile as he pulled up a large chair and sat at the table. Sarah also pulled up a chair and sat across from Jareth. Hoggle, Ludo, and Sir Didymus also pulled up their chairs and sat at the table. The goblins were also included.
"So, your majesty, how have you been all this time?" Sir Didymus asked Jareth. "Very well. I must say, most days have been better than others." Jareth replied. There was a plesant silence as the delicious food began to vanish. Sarah finally spoke out. "Jareth..." Jareth looked up at Sarah. "I don't believe I ever thanked you." She said.
"Thanked me for what, Sarah?" Jareth asked. "For just being here whenever I wished for you come. I always believed you would." Sarah told him. Jareth smiled sweetly at Sarah. "You know if you need me, that also counts for any of us, we'll be there for you." He assured her.
Just then, to crush the moment, Ludo messily stuck his face in the plate, gobbling every bit of his meal down. "Awwh! Ludo!" Sarah laughed and so did everyone else.
Once Sarah was finished with her dinner, she got up from her chair. "Thank you." She said politely. "I think I'm ready to go back home now." She added. Jareth smiled and nodded politely as he got up and took Sarah by the hand.
"Goodbye Sarah!"
"Farewell, maiden!"
"Come visit us again soon!"
Ludo, Sir Didymus, and Hoggle said their goodbyes to Sarah. "I will." Sarah responded. "Probably sooner than you think." She added with a smile. She held on to Jareth as the two of them disapeared in an instant poof of glitter. Once the seemingly glitter faded, Sarah saw that she and Jareth were back in her dorm. "Well, here we are." Jareth said, walking Sarah to her balcony. "Thank you, Jareth." She said. "You're absolutely welcome back anytime you wish Sarah. Just call." Jareth said as his figure slowly faded, disappearing in the wind.
Sarah looked at her calendar, and then, at her clock. She realized she was going to be late for her date with James! "Oh no! I have to get ready!"
