"Okay and I might have an answer" I respond

"so I was wondering if maybe you'd go out with me" he says hesitantly 

"no" I say walking away 

"but Nicole..." he says grabbing my arm turning me around starting to tear up

"I said I wanted to start a friendship not a relationship" I say

"I-I understand I guess I can wait" Daniel says crying 

*daniels pov*

as she walks away from me leaving my heart shattered Jonah and Zach walk up to me 

"yo dude whats wrong" Jonah says 

"she said no" I respond

"aw man im sorry" Zach says

"well ill see you guys in history bye" Jonah says quickly walking away

"what was that" I ask wiping my tears 

"I don't know dude but I gotta go see you later" 

"bye" I say walking away to my next class

*Nicoles pov*

after I left Daniel I felt really bad...it was just I couldn't say yes to him we just started becoming friends again how am I supposed to know if I trust him let alone be in a relationship with him 

as im walking to science I hear Jonah call my name 

"hey Nicole wait" 

"yeah" I say turning around 

"why'd you say no to Daniel" he asks confused 

"cause I don't want to date him its really that simple" 

"well who do you want to date"

"im not sure but im sure its not Daniel"

"oh I know someone who wants to date you" he says

"well tell them that if they are serious about that then to tell me" I say in a 'I know youre talking about you" tone 

"they kinda just did" he says embarrassed 

"oh so youre referring to yourself" 

"well um yeah" he says awkwardly laughing while blushing and trying to hide his face

"good" I say walking away

"what does that mean" he yells down the hall

"it means good" I yell back smiling
