When I entered the socialite bar, I was approached by Ryan. I recognised him, from our brief encounter the previous night, before I got drunk out of my mind. Although his shy demeanor didn't line up with the slightly overconfident that had been expressed on the phone earlier, I remember thinking that he was quite sweet, so I invited him to take a seat with us. He handed me my phone, and declined, telling me that he had plans with a friend, but thanked me for my offer. As he turned around, he was greeted by Liam McCarthy.

"Hey Ryan. The diner is full, so I thought we could get some drinks here instead," he suggested.

Before Ryan could answer, I invited both of them to sit at our table. Ryan smiled uncomfortably while Liam spoke for them.

"Thanks Evelyn," he said. "I think we will if you don't mind."

He gestured for Ryan to slide in beside me, and he took a seat opposite Niamh, and began to talk to her. A sneaky suspicion arose in me, that Liam was trying to play matchmaker for Ryan and myself. Thinking back to Liam telling me that Ryan had a crush on me, I then made up my mind that my suspicion was accurate. While I thought that Ryan seemed kind, I wasn't ready to be with anybody, so I resolved that if we ended up meeting again, after that night, we could only be friends, and nothing more. We started talking, and that was the point at which our story began to blossom.

Two hours later, we were still sitting in the bar. Recognising Ryan's discomfort at talking about himself, I led the our conversation for the most part.
