When we received invitations to Liam's wedding, we knew were already going to go. We had gotten a lot closer to Liam in the last year again, like we were in college. Naturally, we were going to attend, even without Ryan having been asked to be his best man. Ryan was thrilled about this, and was meeting up with Liam, and Kylie, a lot, to discuss how they wanted the day to play out. Ryan also wrote his best man speech in Liam's company to seek his approval on it.
I went shopping with Niamh for an outfit for the wedding. She was a lot happier since the day she broke down in the pub bathroom. She said my input was great, because it caused her to decide not to try search for a partner.
"You were right," she told me. "If the right guy is out there, he'll find his way to me without me trying too hard."
She seemed confident in her affirmation, and I was glad I had given her some useful advice.
After we bought our outfits, we went to a bar, where we both ended up a little tipsy by the end of the afternoon. It was there that she met Shane. He asked for her phone number, and because she wasn't totally sober, she gave it to him. That was the beginning of their relationship, and she was right; she found the right guy for her when she stopped looking so hard for him.
