I woke up feeling warm and fuzzy and it was due to the fact that Kara Danvers was snuggled on top of me, her body radiating heavy heat as she slept softly.

Thoughts of last night flashed through my head and my hands slowly adjusted to holding her again like I had before. She needed me.

But I felt bad. I hadn't expected her to fall asleep and be here till morning but then again, I wasn't sure what I was to expect. I let her shower here, gave her some of my clothes, and then held her for an hour. Why wouldn't she fall asleep?

There was a guilt in her laying here so delicately. All I could think about was Michael and my words from yesterday. I could treat her better, and I was but it was still wrong. She had a boyfriend.

But he's a douche.

Does that make it okay?

I shook my head to myself and the small gesture was enough for Kara to move around a bit. She adjusted her body, one of her legs sliding between mine to hook around as her hands grabbed onto my arms. It made me smile. She was so cute. So adorable.

The feeling of her body on mine, it was drugging. It reminded me of being curled up in a blanket on a winter's day in front of the fireplace. I was so comfortable. I lifted my head for a moment and kissed her forehead. I don't know why, but it just felt right.

"Again?" The blond spoke quietly and my eyes widened. I thought she was still asleep.

"I'm so sorry Kara. I didn't mean to wa-" I tried to apologize but she pointed to her forehead.

"Another?"

"Another what?"

"Kiss?" She asked so innocently that I couldn't take it. Kara was the most precious person and yet, I had seen the way she was treated by people.

Leaning forward again, I kissed her forehead in the center, letting this kiss linger a bit longer as she let out a content sigh. "You're adorable, you know that?" I asked as a smile slid across her lips. She turned her head to hide her face in my neck but I didn't mind, she knew far too well how cute she was.

"I'm sorry you didn't go home. You probably didn't want to stay here," I mumbled as I stared up at the ceiling.

"Trying to kick me out at midnight?" Kara replied with a small laugh as I immediately shook my head.

"No, I didn't mean that-"

"It's cold in here. Can we get under the blankets?" She cut me off and I sighed in relief as she slowly lifted her head to look at me.

Never in a million years would I have imagined that I'd actually be here with Kara. It was always just a fairytale fantasy.

"Yeah," I answered, no sound really coming out as she looked down at me. She was so beautiful with her long dirty blond hair, and those blue eyes. Those were my favorite. The shade was beautiful, nothing that I had ever seen before.

She slid off of me as I stood up, helping her under the blankets. Kara smiled at me as I looked down at her, feeling breathless.

"You should get some sleep, you still have time," I whispered as I tapped the lamp on the bedside table, leaving it on the dimmest setting.

I walked over to the window and popped it open before there were two arms wrapping around me. "Come on," Kara whispered as she grabbed my hand, pulling me back to the bed with her.

"That's okay, Kara. I can sleep on the couch," I answered as she frowned.

"If you think I only stayed to sleep on the most luxurious bed I've ever seen, you are half right but the other half," she said as she looked up at me with pretty blue eyes.
