"Vernon please let's just leave" you pleaded but he kept trying to get away from your firm arms grabbing his clothes

You knew this was going to happen one day or another, yet you were to scared to tell him. Scared of ruining a friendship and scared of hurting him.

Vernon has been dating your bestfriend Vienna for almost 6 months and it was a month ago you found out that she was cheating on the poor boy.

"Hey back of she's taken" you scolded the guy flirting with your bestfriend by slapping him

"Ya Y/N!" She grabbed your hand roughly

You pulled away in confusion

"You've got to be kidding me Vienna!" You shouted realising the situation

"Shh don't be so loud! Let's go talk somewhere else" she pulled your wrist and led you to somewhere more private

"What's going on Vienna?" You crossed your arms looking at her

"Listen I just like him ok, he's sweet and totally my type" she answered shamefully

"Then what about Vernon?" You said slowly raising your tone

She groaned "I just don't like him anymore. It's not working"

"Then be honest and tell him!" You scolded her

"I was trying but he's too in love with me that I can't bring myself to break his heart"

You scoffed

"Vienna you know this isn't the righ-"

"Ugh whatever Y/N! Just don't tell him ok?" She cut you off

"Vienna i-"

"Come on you're my bestfriend !" She begged

"Fine but you better tell him soon!" You said and left angrily

Yet she never told him after your conversation.
Only now he finds out when seeing his beloved one swallowing the face of another guy in front of his own eyes.

Angrily he went up to  and punched him. The punch was so strong the guy ended up falling to the ground, bleeding from his nose with Vienna laying beside the casualty

"Are you insane!?" She screamed at him

Too frustrated, confused and broken Vernon couldn't say a word

"Vernon come on let's go" you begged him

He then stormed out and you gave a death stare to Vienna

"You said you would tell him" you scolded her and ran after the heartbroken

"Vernon!" You shouted looking around the empty streets

From afar you hear someone kicking the trashcans and you followed the noise

"Vernon calm down" you tried telling him "Listen she told me she was going to tel-"

"You knew all along!?" He said facing you, only a few centimetres away from your face

In shock and guilt  you nodded slowly

"And you never told me!" He said angrily

"I was going to but-" you got cut off by a loud kick at the trashcan from Vernon

Suddenly he sat down weak facing down, tired and heart shattered

You leaned down to face him

"What did I do wrong?" He said with  voice crack and tears slowly strolling down his cheek

"You've done noting wrong Vernon" you said wiping his tears with your sleeve

"I gave her everything" he said choking on his tears

"I know" you said brushing your hands on his hair slowly

"I loved her so much" he admitted

"Well she didn't deserve your love" you said smiling as you looked into his wet crystal like eyes

"You want to go home?" You asked him softly

He shook his head "No let's stay here for a little while" he said as he grabbed your sleeve and rested his head on it.
