He's Back

*Soren POV, 4 months after him leaving*

Today is the day. Ophis and I are going back to the others. It's been 4 months since we left, and we both missed everyone, I was surprised Ophis misses them but I guess it makes sense since she's never had friends before. Speak of the dragon, she just came in.

"Hi Soren-kun. What are you doing?" She asks, sitting next to me on the couch.

"Nothing. I'm just anxious about seeing the others again. What if they don't want me to come back? What if Koneko doesn't come back to me?! What if-" She cuts me off with a kiss, I kiss back and we separate.

"You need to stop worrying so much my mate. They will all welcome you back, and I'm sure Koneko will be with you again if you convince her. I know you can do it." She says, making me smile. I grab her hand.

"Thanks my dragon goddess. You really know how to cheer me up." I say, cupping her cheek.

"I'd do anything for you Soren." She says with a dreamy look in her eyes. I snicker and kiss her on the forehead before standing up.

"I think we should leave now my mate" She blushes but nods and runs upstairs to get ready. She may be one of the most powerful beings in existence but she still gets flustered when I call her my mate, as I've only done it about 5 times in our relationship. She comes downstairs in the casual clothes I bought her a few months ago (top picture).

"I'm ready Soren!" She says, grabbing my hand.

"Ophis, I haven't seen Koneko in forever, so if she comes back to me, don't feel sad if I give her a lot of attention at first. I love you both equally and don't let anyone or anything make you think otherwise." I say. Tears threaten to fall from her eyes but she smiles.

"It's okay Soren. I've loved these past few months with you. I can handle being away from you sometimes. You've taught me so much since I met you, so thanks. I love you my mate." She says, staring into my eyes. I smile at her.

"I love you too Ophis. Now let's see our friends again." I say. She nods, and we head off to Issei's mansion.

*Kuroka POV*

I'm getting ready to search for Soren again. I can't give up, and as long as I have Koneko's help I won't give up. I hear a knock at the door, and put down my shoes. I walk to the door and my heart starts pounding. What's happening to me? It's just someone at the door so why is my heart rate so fast? I shake off the thought and reach out to the handle, I suddenly turn it and open it quickly, and my heart stops beating for a second.

"Hey Kuroka, I know it's been a while, but I came back! Can I come in? Where is everyone right now?" My big brother and crush is standing at the doorstep. Tears start to fall down my face, blurring my vision.

"Ren-kun?" I stutter out. I jump on him and hug him with all my strength.

*Soren POV*

I get off the ground, Kuroka hanging off my neck.

"I missed you so much Soren!" She yells, wetting my shirt with her tears. I pet her head and chuckle.

"I missed you too Kuro-chan." I set her down and she grabs my hand and pulls me to the living room. We sit down on the couch and she cuddles into me.

"You better tell me everything right now Ren-kun. Why did you wait so long to come back? Nya~" She says, pouting up at me.

"I'm sorry Kuroka. I meant to come back after a few weeks but I got used to my life with Ophis and kinda got carried away. I didn't want to come back anyway because of Issei and Koneko getting together behind my back. I promise I won't leave again." I say, kissing her forehead. She blushes, but continues talking.
